Towers Loving Care

I have a full YourDay DVD!

:D

I too have a full YourDay DVD. :)

I remember that we were told to wave your wrist band as we pass the sensors to ensure that they picked up the signal. We had to re-ride the flume just because it never picked us up on it when we went to purchase the DVD.

It was a good concept and it was a shame that it really never took off.

They may be recreating it but they have got the orientation wrong... surely box office should be the house on the right second furthest to the Towers? Soo... Purple?

Ohh dear lord...

They are not creating an identical replica of a CGI advert of he street, they are taking inspiration from the advert and going with it, so expect different buildings being a variety of light colours.

Do not expect a literal replica, for a start the street on the adverts barely resembles the real thing anyway.

Don't you oh dear lord just me ;) I wasn't the only one saying it! ;)

Took the words out of my mouth!

Towers Street in the TV adverts is a very quirky version of it, I thought when pointing out what they were trying to do that it was obvious that they were not trying to replicate it.

It will probably look a bit weird for this year and next, having one green building, whilst TLC is ongoing but once it is complete it will surely all look a lot better.

:)

It's great to hear Towers Street is getting coherent spruce up. However, I think a few finishing touches would help such as having a stone effect paint applied to the pillars and maybe some shutters beside the windows. This would help to break up the block colour and give the building a bit of character. Can't wait to see the whole street updated in the future!

Will pass full judgement on opening day but it is a vast improvement on what it looked like previously!

:)

A seriously dramatic improvement. A few vines drooped over wouldn't go amiss, but this is certainly what's been needed.

Dark Forest still needs to be flattened and forgotten about, however its a vast improvement.

Well, the fencing needs to go quite far up because:

Yeah... Photo from Stretchy a while back.

Huge improvement on the scaffolding. If I was to be picky, I'd say it's a little high, and doesn't look right how it covers the speakers, but it looks lots better than the scaffolding.

To be fair, personally I think this one will have to be seen in person to get a good idea of how it works in the wider area. It looks better than before though anyway :)
