Towers Loving Care

Not sure if this is true but I heard a rumour that CATCF is being rethemed as Mr Leek and The Leek Signs Factory. It's a magical boatride that takes you through the different stages of the Leek Signs manufacturing process. Finishes up in The Great Glass Laminator. As I say, not sure if it's true, just a rumour I heard.
well, if it is true, i'm pleased to know that the simulator section will stay!

Flume replacement!

(The next Valhalla please Alton!)
OMG...forget the years studying marketing at University. AT know that those 3 simple letters are the most exciting in all of theme park geekdom.

SW is just a codename for rides, you have to accept that the future of rides at the park will have to go on without JW.
The Secret Weapon codename is a staple of huge attractions at Towers and to continue without this 'brand' that's become so recognisable just because JW has retired would be a stupid move in my opinion.

JW hasn't had that much input into the last two has he? He only did the layouts and helped with the drop on Thirteen I think.

Not really. It was John who came up with the whole code name thing. Nowadays the park are using it as a marketing tool, because they lack creativity and really (once again) have absolutely no idea what they're doing.

Soon as the ride opens, I can guarantee they'll have hauled JW out of the woodwork and he'll be on TV saying how this is the greatest and most unique ride ever, despite having no involvement in its creation. They're already using him to promote Galactica.

They're using the codename because it's attached to a history of success. They should come up with their own new code names and leave John's legacy alone. The guy has retired. Let him be, and move on.

I was under the impression he did at least most of the layout and had the idea of hiding some of the inversions on the planning application?

There's now a Box Office in the Dark Forest, selling fastrack, annual passes and also offering Guest Services:

Oh that's an interesting development! A mini-box office.

That wasn't actually sarcasm.

Half expecting tomorrows update to be that this was all a joke, and it was all Photoshop or old photos ;)

In all seriousness though, huge credit to whoever had the idea to try tlc. Can't wait too be there on Sunday (hopefully :)) and see it all myself.
