Towers Loving Care

It might not be exciting, but they really did need more seating. This is actually one of my favourite TLC updates so far, no joke. Surprised it's taken so long to realise it and implement them to be honest, but that could be said for a lot of the recent work really. Anyway, another issue sorted :)

Agree with the seating issue, although I doubt 65 is enough to cover the park. I only noticed this last year when I went for a picnic in the gardens and was like "wtf happened to all the benches".

I'm surprised they're not charging for the simple pleasures of sitting!

Talking about towers trading, I haven't heard the ride noises properly on the tills for years! Probably not since it opened.

Most of the staff just shout "NEXT". I noticed last season they covered the digital number up with a bit of laminated paper with a number on. Shame really as these were quite good.

It seems they can make a effort with a shop when they want such as the smiler and Galactica shop, but TS is just plain and generic.

Just to go back to the seating issue Towers are finally addressing! I've always found forbidden valley to be a bit lacking in that department. Asides from a few boulders and the small shelter by Galactica, there is no real communal space for people who don't want to sit at refresh or fish n' chips. Got me thinking about possibly having a sunken "amphetheatre" a-la the Darwin Centre courtyard at London's NHM:

It maintains that "Picnicky" feel with the grass, but provides a comfortable place to sit and an open area in the middle for entertainers/extra seating. I just feel something like this would be great just by Galactica, possibly replacing the current steel shelter! Plus those LEDs would look fab in a blue-ish colour in the evenings!

:)

The new benches are a great addition, very comfy as well. It feels as if a great deal of time and care was invested into choosing the right bench brand, rather than popping into B&Q and grabbing the first one in the sales.

On Saturday, we were able to experience 26/65 of the new additions. Very satisfying indeed.

Someone needs to setup a website similar to ride count called bench count
Maybe u count ask towers to pace all benches on the park map to make it easier to locate them
On a serious note I agree with what your saying the benches look a high quality and are a welcome addition

They need to put some now in Blivvy Re-Hydrate, seeing as they have binned all the nice metal seats and tables there :)
Nice wood bench will fit right in

Whenever I go to shops (outside of towers) with that system installed 90% of the time it's not used.

As long as it drowns out "Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen...Thirteen..." coming from one of the game stalls, I'll be happy.

I'm alright with 13's audio, but I think Rita needs its own. Its the only coaster in the park (including RMT, SW, and octanauts) that doesn't have its own dedicated music.

I love the countdown (well up) to 13 and then the tesla coil goes off.

That comes from opposite Rita's Launch IIRC, it only happens when it gets stuck on, which seemed to happen at least once a day when I was working on it back at Scarefest/Fireworks 2014.
