It's things like this that (if it is a repaint) make me think towers are serious about this TLC, not just to save money. Still, not expecting much, but let's hope they surprise us.
I think you're right. If you look at the surrounding track you can't see the tire marks, suggesting it is all freshly painted and the train hasn't gone around yet
Looks like the are just removing the paint to check for metal fatigue rather than repainting it. EDIT: on further inspection it may actually be a full repaint. Very interesting
It's typical that they choose to repaint the one ride that can get away with looking shabby. It's the station building and waterfalls that need attention on Nemy!
To be honest, Air's track was in a good way. It just needs a spray to get it clean. The paintwork itself was fine.
Perhaps, but there would only really be a grey colour... and we don't want more grey! It's already blue, which fits some of the colour scheme from the promos. Personally, I don't think the track colour is an issue.
TowersCentral posted this on Facebook Looks like a white base layer is being painted before another, more detailed coat is painted on top
It's nice to see the track being repainted even though, as said, it's the one ride they could get away with not repainting the track for now. I hope we see something done to the station/waterfall on top of this. It will be a shame if only the track gets a repaint and the station falling apart and waterfall full of moss (and looking filthy) are left as they are.
We haven't seen any images of the station and surrounding area as of yet so, if we're being optimistic, there's still a possibility that work will be being done on there. Fingers crossed they're putting in some work on the Dark Forest too as I think I'll rip my eyes out if that scaffolding tunnel is still there next season.
With this Nemesis re-painting... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sort the station out while you're at it, Towers! If the station is still in it's 2015 state on March 19th I will be immensely disappointed.
There is work going on with the Nemesis station - but I get the impression that a full refresh job would cost almost as much as the original construction itself. I guess it's a steady progress pattern over the next 3 years.
Great to see some proper maintenance happening across the park, but I can't help but fear Nemesis will end up with a repaint along the same quality of that of Splash Landings and end up looking a joke.
