1. yesHeaded to EP in a couple weeks, can't wait. It seems like the crowds will be relatively minimal so the queue will not be such a big deal, but in the interests of maximising our rides on Volton I had a few questions.
- Are "last hour" tickets still a thing? If so, we just need to request them when we check in?
- Does the Voltron queue work "Disney style" where you just have to join 1 minute before park closes in order to ride?
- For hotel guests who get in an hour early, Voltron isn't part of the rides available during that hour. What's the best strategy for getting on it first?
As above. The Phantasialand top brass have scrapped multi day tickets and annual passes.Am I right in thinking that the resort pass used to have Phantasialand as one of the free visit days? I’m planning 10 days in Germany for May and it’s not on the list but I swear it used to be on there?! One to note for anyone thinking of purchasing the resort pass to do a few parks.
Yes. There is an Edeka and Lidl a short walk from the resort hotels. Worth noting though that they will be closed on Sundays.Just in the early stages of planning Europa for next year but am i correct in my understanding that alongside plenty of accommodation being within walking distance of the park (we'd need a self catering location) there is also a supermarket in the same vicinity? Ideally i'd prefer not to have to hire a car.
You can walk between Europa-Park/village/Rulantica.Next question. I always assumed Europa and Rulantica were on the same site but they actually look quite far apart!
So if you're staying in Rust walking distance from Europa then you're not walking distance from Rulantica, is that right?
I can see a free shuttle bus operates every 30 min between the parks. Are taxis common too? Does seem like a car is borderline essential if you're planning on visiting both but maybe i'm missing something...
You can walk between Europa-Park/village/Rulantica.
It's around a 15/20 minute walk from the town hall to Rulantica.
There is also the free Rust Bus.
Neither of those are entrances to the park and are roads with houses.
I’d suggest otherwise. Ascension Day in France is the 29th next year and the park typically gets rammed towards the end of that week. Here is the crowd calendar from the equivalent time this year - there’s a reason it’s colloquially known as “Hell Week”!
