Well I now have accommodation at Rugeley Travelodge for the duration of the meet :)

I will most likely be wearing a red/white lumberjack style shirt & a grey hoodie, probs be wearing some wooden bracelet things too. Ah, this trip seems to have come around nice and quickly, which means my traditional Summer break from Alton must be drawing to an end. Excellent :)

Annoyingly, I've just realised I've got to renew my pass on the Saturday, which is always a bit of a hassle, so I'll get into the park early and look out for people around my usual coffee shop haunt - that usually works - I have numbers if not :)
Also, the weather forecast looks a bit meh for Saturday, but... on the bright side, at least it won't be rammed, I guess :)
I liked the idea of food/drinks somewhere afterwards as well, incidentally.

Meeting Points this weekend are as follows:

SATURDAY - Alton Towers
We'll be making use of Early Ride Time on the first day, checking out the new entry system.
To join us you'll need to be at Alton Towers Hotel Reception at 8:30am, to use the Woodland Walk. The park closes at 6:00pm.

SUNDAY - Drayton Manor
We'll be meeting at the main entrance plaza at 10:00am ready for a day of fun on park. Park closing time is currently 5:00pm, although this may be extended depending on crowds/weather.

MONDAY - Alton Towers
Meeting at 9:30am at Splash Landings Hotel lobby and taking the monorail into the theme park.
 
I can't wait, although I'm a little nervous :-[ I'm not the best with new people.

I'm really going to try to talk to people and make new friends though. Can't wait to meet you all! :twirly:
 
Is anybody else who will arrive at Uttox station for 9am tomorrow willing to chip in for a taxi?

Mmm, as much as I can make Monday, the coach trip we're on could leave us arriving at the park a bit later (10:00am somewhat.) Unless I just happen to catch you guys at the entrance then I might just meet you guys.
 
8:30 on a Saturday... isn't going to happen for me, alas. Partly because I'm lazy, but also because I'll have to spend a fair amount of time faffing with annual pass renewals (£111, not as upsetting as I expected!) before I meet up with you.

I'm guessing just head towards Nemesis as soon as I can - or else just hope Dan's a bit better at answering his phone than usual ;)
Either way, see you in the morning - looking forward to it :)
 
Well, I'm going to be there tomorrow. Not exactly looking forward to a 6am start, mind, but hey - I've had to spend a day travelling to meets before, so I'm looking forward to not having to do that for once! :D

Remember to check TowersStreet facebook for the meeting place and time of the group photo, but its likely to be at the entrance to Storybook Land after the lunch break - around 2pm :)
