Hi all, glad I’ve found another great source of theme park info.
I bet I’m your oldest member but I am one of those very important theme parkers who:-
use to hold little hands before they all turned into adrenalin junkies, look after the bags, carry and fill the Vesuvius drinks bottle, lug the plastic macs round in my back pack if rain is forecast and can always produce a wet wipe or plaster when needed. Oh and find out all the latest info on cool sites like this cos I’ve now got allllll the time in the world to do it!
Yep you guessed it not a thrill rider but love watching all my flock having fun and secretly saying thank you God when they all get off the rides safely, especially when grandson No 2 goes on Stealth.

If you ever came on a meet, you'd be kept well in business

Nice to see a new older member join the community. Welcome to TowersStreet, Carolyn. I hope you enjoy it here.
At a wild guess I would assume you are indeed our oldest member. Although one of the other members of the team may have more scope on the ages of members on here than I do.

Someone claiming to be older than Diogo... Impossible!
I kid, he’s not our former oldest member, he just likes to believe he is, bless.
Welcome to the forum Carolyn. The trusted Theme Park Observer is as much a part of our little group as any adrenaline junky.

I'll second that question, would love to knowSam said:Out of interest, since you say you're not a thrill seeker, what's your favourite ride?![]()
Carolyn said:Thanks for the welcome messages Sam and Tim.
My favourite rides are The Runaway Mine Train and Vampire at Chessy.
Mr least favourite ride is the 2.5hr drive to Alton via the M6 roadworks!
Welcome to TowersStreet Carolyn! It's great to see you. Sounds like you've got a theme park loving family!
I feel your pain with the drive too! 5 hours from bonny Scotland for me! :'(
Well... I finally took the plunge and signed up.
Hi! I'm AR12 - long-time lurker and member on various other theme park forums. Since this new site was made I've mainly been looking around here and I have to say you've done a great job with the site!
So... Just a few random AT related info about me:
-I've loved AT and theme parks since my first visit when I was fairly young : My earliest memories go back to Corkscrew and Ug Swinger. ( Unfortunately I never got a chance to ride as I was too small on that visit and it left by the next :/ )
-I have Alton Towers dreams frequently, some wierd, some very wierd.
-Aaaand a majority of my visits to Merlin parks have resulted in some kind of mini-disaster in the park once I left. A fire in the SkyRide station the day after my first visit, blackouts in AT and CWOA and terrential rain shutting down rides at Thorpe for a few hours.
So yeah, that's me!
