Which ride will be removed next? (Poll reset 20.06.2017)

My friend was at Towers today and a member of staff told her that due to galactica being an epic fail it's gonna be removed soon and replaced by a new coaster (I can't guarantee how true any of this is)

It's BS.
The VR may go, the coaster itself isn't going anywhere yet

Yeah, to replace the hole left by (and be better than) the Flume.I would quite like to see a water coaster put in - maybe replace spinball with it

It's a 15 year old B&M and one of the most popular rides in the park.

I hope the "new" coaster will be Air.
When I rode it without VR, I forgot how much of a damn good flying coaster it is. We all refused VR on the front row
It always frequently had a long queue even before Galacticair.
Does anyone have any info on why N:ST is still SBNO (Apart from speculation)?

On Wednesday we got chatting to one of the hosts and he said the VR had ruined the ride and most of them hated it because it made their jobs even more repetitive and mundane, said he couldn't wait for them to see sense and scrap it after next year.
(Presumably he was just putting two and two together about MMM funding and making an assumption like the rest of us would).

I have a controversial idea. Do you think the Rapids will be staying much longer with all the new requirements on its operation. They've had to increase the staff a lot to continue operating. Implement new rules on the ride which means under 18's can't ride it.
The ride takes a lot of space and costs a huge amount of money to run.
Could the Rapids and Katanga Cannyon it self be the next area to see a big renovation after Cloud cuckoo land. There's loads of space we could see an Intamin flume or a water coaster maybe as a replacement. They could put some flats in the area. Build up a visual barrier between SW8 and Katanga Cannyon.
Not sure Katanga Cannyon as classic as it is fits in with the way the park has now evolved would an area like this be more suited to Chessington these days.
People have said in the past that the park could extend onto the Coach park with this expansion maybe the flume/watercoaster could be built without losing the Rapids.
The other area that could be nearing the chopping board is Mutiny bay. The area has been run down considerably and the pirate show has been removed. It won't fit in with SW8 particulary well unless it's pirate themed.

Its a good call, H&S is becoming more difficult with water rides and Alton really love that H&S stuff. A free roaming water attraction that has already had: effects removed, an 18+ limit (temporary), height restriction changes and noting local incidents.
I think its probably close for the chop, however now Flumeless - Id expect either a water ride prior or to replace it.

I think there will be a long term plan for its removal but I can't see them axing 2 water rides in quick succession. I think they were in part shocked at the response to the flume going and to then get rid of the rapids soon after? They would need to be planning a new water ride and of announced it before they removed rapids

I presume you mean Sub-Terra, not Submission, which was removed before the Smiler was built?submission. there is a article saying it's getting removed. also why vote for galactica, it came out last year
I've said 'Galactica', I don't mean to remove its underpinning coaster, I mean just the removal or the VR and return it to being Air. The VR aspect must have increased staff requirements to achieve an acceptable throughput, and Merlin would love to cut staff and cut expenses.
