You can't really see the fire when you are riding it anyway. It's more for the off ride effect.

As rob has already mentioned when the ride goes down the fire effects cut out for safety. One of the ents techs has to be available to reset it.

What's the fence in wickermans preshow for? It was just randomly in the center of the doorway to the station, I watched 3-4 people almost fall over it.

Yeah I was wondering that myself. Just seems to be in the way.

Think it’s to slow people down so they don’t all get stuck in the door in their eagerness to ride WM

Yeah I seemed to have walked into it not once but twice today.
I was walking forward and wondering why I couldn't move forward.

The purpose it serves is to keep the guests behind there until the preshow has ended, much like Hex has a white line on the floor.

With regards to the fire effects, they were on past ~4pm.

I believe the fence is there to signal that you need to stop there and not keep walking to the door.

It’s not helpful that you can barely see it when everyone is pushing to enter the station though.

    They do love their fences.

Clearly its been put there for no reason other than for you to go:

"I walked into this random fence!"

    Towers:

    "and your still alive...."

The fence clearly has a use?

That's brilliant a 150 mile round trip to hit the new ride and it's down (again! ) Perhaps towers need to give us honest idea if it will be open that day or if problem still issue so we can decide on setting off or not!

At least we can safely say that Towers didn't waste their money when paying the voice actor to record a nice queue line announcement...

To say it’s closed and not even testing. There’s a huge queue forming at the entrance

The amount of water from the effects. No way will this wood last 6 months at this rate.
    Let it rot

Yep, I walked straight into it the first time. Stupid idea having a fence in a dark room that you can't see until you're impaled on it.
