Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the park have taken the difficult decision to postpone the opening of The World of David Walliams until 2021. However, whether or not the new area will be able to open for the start of the season remains to be seen. Stick with TowersStreet for more news as we get it.
In October 2019 the park announced that long-rumoured The World of David Walliams would be opening in 2020, drawing from the works of the celebrity author. The date might be a little later than planned, but in 2021 we will finally be able to step beyond the pages to join in on some literary adventures.
The headline attraction for the area is Gangsta Granny: The Ride, which invites guests to join Ben and his Granny as they visit The Tower of London to pull off the heist of the century.
The new world will be taking over the area formerly known as Cloud Cuckoo Land with several rides receiving makeovers to become part of the world; the Royal Carousel will see the Gallopers receive a regal makeover, whilst the former Frog Hopper will become Raj’s Bouncy Bottom Burp. The ever-present newsagent will also be the proprietor of Raj's Shop, which has taken over the site of the old Wobble World Cafe.
