Really random, but are there dry seats on ripsaw like there is on Ramses revenge at chessington. At chessington, I think it's the end 4 seats on each side of each row (16 in total). Just need to know if I can go on it (can't go on water rides with contact lenses)

Both Ripsaw and Enterprise are now open.

The last few times I have watched Ripsaw operate they have not even come close to hitting the riders with the fountains. I think it is fair to saw that the fountains are now for show and it is not a water ride.

:)

They usually soak people on the last ride of the day.
Don't think there are any dry seats on it as far as I'm aware, unlikely you'll get wet though as I never have.

There is likely health and safety issues with the water because of germs etc

I have always wanted to go on ripsaw, mainly so i can say i have been on (most of) the rides.

saying that though, sat in a dry seat on Ramses and half of me got completely soaked.

sorry, another question. Going tomorrow, and after ERT cant decide to run to sonic, DF, or anything else. Help??

The park's not particularly busy right now - you won't need to rush, don't worry! Sonic would be a good bet to have a longer queue at that time though.

@Leah if you sit on front row you won't get wet at all, but if you don't want a completely dry seat, the end couple on each row have no fountain proud of them. I go on Ripsaw on most of my visits, and I've only got mildly wet once - this was Scarefest 2013.

Went today. You can really see the impact of the smiler. Ride count:
  • Nemesis x2
  • Air x2
  • 13 x2
  • Rita
  • Oblivion
  • Hex
  • Twirling toadstool
  • Duel
  • Congo river rapids
  • Ripsaw
  • Sub terra x2
Really quiet, and got over fear of falling. Also got a nitrogenie. Thing that got me was that the smiler was shut (obviously), enterprise was shut all day, then at 4:00ish oblivion shut for the rest of the day. A whole area broken down. Credit due to the staff who had to stand outside enterprise and the smiler all day, and also the sub terra operators were amazing. There were lots of wasps though.

Urgh, I HATE wasps with a passion. Im going up this weekend so i'll take my max strength Jungle Formula deet spray with me I think and cover myself in it! They not have the usual yellow traps hanging up?

They probably do, but who knows when they were last emptied and changed?

Didn't see any traps. It was ok in the indoor restaurants. The worse place is outside nitrogenie. It is really bad though when you've just sat down on nemesis, the restraints are locked, and a wasp starts flying around your face, and the ride ops aren't sending it.

The firs 2 rooms of duel (the room with the cracked walls and the room with the mirrors and the 2 monsters) all the targets were turned of. Lots of the effects were working though. Some that haven't in years. I decided to go around with no gun. I actually enjoyed it more. Lots of the orange targets were on.

also, nemesis had the old music playing. It was much slower than normal.

AT if your reading... linking X Sector to Cred Street, would bring new life to X Sector instead of it being left out there all on its own to fend for its self.
Chop a few trees down, move a shed or two, easy!

Don't think that will be happening :) Pretty sure an access road runs through/near there and then you also have behind the scenes staff buildings etc in-between the two ;)

^ as Barry said its all behind the scenes stuff the hex vault and access roads

Don't know if having X Sector linked to Cloud Cuckoo Land would really make much of a difference... Yes it would be a shortcut but the two areas are completely different thematically and in terms of target audience.

Equally everything located between the two would need serious relocation around the grounds and would be a huge undertaking for little gain.

There's also the matter that anything noisy can't be built near the Flag Tower due to the proximity to the village - so gaining the access would be fairly unnecessary in terms f park expansion.
