We get it, you vape :p

I was just looking at renewing my MAP and looking at the difference between the passes. Not that I can justify the ludicrous amount of money for an annual VIP pass, but you can't purchase one until May 30th. What's the logic behind that or is that a new 2017 thing?

Its always been like that for VIP, 4 week window to buy in June, so they can hype them up and make them seem special and worth the money.

A friend of mine has just come back from an education trip to the park and they were told that Spinball Whizzer is leaving next season
I'm not surprised really, As Towers agreed with the council that it would be gone out that space by 2019 as it was ruining the views of the Towers, plus SW8 will fix Spinball's gap in the lineup (Unlike Ripsaw...) . I hope it gets relocated to another park, preferably another Merlin park.

There is no such agreement in place, certainly nothing that is legally binding. I really don't think they will just get rid of it, the best time for it to go is when they can use its removal to help push through a trickly planning application.

:)

95% of our meet up members are strongly opposed to the concept of VIP annual passes due to the fact it further enhances a class culture within the industry, affects ride operations and increases queue times for other guests.

After Fireworks, for example, the number VIPs and RAPs acessing the Smiler meant that the main queue was 50 minutes from just inside the building - when normally it would be 15 minutes.

Basically, don't flout a VIP pass on any of our meets or you'll have the mickey taken out of you.

:D

Life is a class culture. You could give Communism a go, but that rarely has a happy ending.

The park exists because of Capitalism.

That's really bad, and that's coming from somebody who has one of the passes

What a hilariously awful argument
It's true. People with more money pay for better services than those with less. Whether that be the cars they drive, the holidays they take, the shoes they wear or the type of annual pass they hold.

On opening day there was some sort of VIP Event meaning there were quite a few of these passholders on park. I'm not particularly offended by the idea of it. However, what was vomit inducing was the attitude of a lot of the people flaunting their passes and mentioning they were "VIPs" at every outlet at every possible time.

And that is what many people, including staff, despise about VIP pass holders. It is not all of them however many have serious delusions of grandeur and believe they should get whatever they want because they are a 'VIP'. No, you're a normal person with more money than sense!

As I say, I am not saying all VIP pass holders are like this so if you are one and are not like this please do not take it personally!
