Fantasy Island

That's a shame skyscraper but glad you had a good time. I look forward to experiencing the park for the first time next month, if odyssey is running I'm defiantly going on it as you've got to make up your own opinion of ride experiences.

Not going on Odyssey when its open?! That means you have to return to awful Skegness though...

Utter lunacy...

Yeah, maybe i'll be brave and ride it next time.

Millennium scared me a bit as, due to my height, the restraint didn't lock as tightly as i would have liked; there was a gap between it and me. I held it down but if i let go it moved up slightly. great ride though; very smooth!

Fantasy Islands management would like to announce that the G-Force ride will be leaving the park at the end of the 2017 season.

After being brought back to Fantasy Island for the last two seasons to excite the most daring of the thrill seekers, it has been decided to remove the G-Force to allow the park to continue with its development plans and new attractions over the coming years.

Following the huge investment over the 2016/2017 winter period, to update and add new attractions to the indoor area, including The Mystical Mountain, adventure golf, 10 pin bowling and additional rides, we are determined to deliver customers with new exhilarating experiences year after year, to further improve Fantasy Island, ensuring it remains the best family day out on the East Coast.

The park and its owners are committed to continuing with developments, and we hope you’re all excited to see what’s to come in 2018!

Let’s celebrate G-Force! Share with us your memories of the thrill-seeking attraction.

Public notice:
Fantasy Fans, we would like to tell you first; Fantasy Mouse is off on its travels from Sunday 24th September, but not to worry, something sinister is coming to take its place… http://bit.ly/2wMa3lc

In the meantime, all other attractions will be available for you to experience, so come along and make some magical memories.

There’s more to discover at Fantasy Island!

What did you think of the park (and odyssey)?

It was good thank you, the park is certainly a bit weird having market areas, a funfair over the road from it, a odd bodge of food outlets and large arcade areas but overall worth a visit. Odessey was open with a small queue thoughout the whole day, even going down to walk on at times. As a ride I found it to be one of the better coasters in the country, its the biggest invert I've been on by some margin and the feeling when at the top of the lift hill is pretty impressive and I found the ride to be not that rough/ much of a head banger at all, it has parts where it marauders around a bit but has some intense moments. Millennium was down all day so didn't get to ride it and some other rides operations were a bit hit and miss. The Beast is one of, if not the best flat ride I've done in the UK with a intense cycle.

Glad you enjoyed the park like i did. Maybe I'll try Odyssey next time!

(Sorry for the double post) G-Force is officially closed forever, what do you think will replace it?

Ah, Fantasy Island. Millennium was my first coaster with inversions back in 2002 at the tender age of eleven. I went again in 2013 whilst staying with a mate who lived in the sticks behind Skegness and I insisted we take a trip there. They were alternating between running Millennium and Odyssey and we got there just in time for the last ride on Odyssey and got to go around twice!
