Given that apparently only 3 rows have VR this year, I think that's unlikely.

I wouldn't be surprised if the VR is gone entirely next year.
Wonder if it's still advertised as "World's first rollercoaster fully dedicated to VR" when it's only got 3 rows of VR (or 0 if it goes next year)

Of course they will, merlin are too cheap to change the branding.

Not sure how recently this occurred (or if the ride will ever even reopen), but Nemesis Sub-Terra has simply been renamed Sub-Terra in the website thumbnail and description of the ride.

Love all the street ents back this year, is this a permanent thing or just for the opening weekend?

Street ents (traffic patrol) are permanent, but only in the mornings for when guests are arriving. The staff then move to CBeebies Land for the shows. Much of the Wicker Man entertainments were just for the press night/opening day though.

Sorry for double posting, but if anyone is on park tomorrow, could they confirm whether the rumour about Galactica VR being reduced to 3 rows only is true?

This is correct. Guests will have an option when they reach the station of whether they want to queue for VR or non-VR.

:)

Please say vr is the back 3 rows, would be unfair if RAP users couldn't use vr.

I am not sure but I believe that it is the front 3 rows. Of course the back row could also have VR for if and when there are disabled guests.

:)

Why would they have front row with vr?
I hope they make sure rap can use vr, it would be a shame if rap users didn't have the option for vr.

It would not only be a shame it would also be again the equality act.

Doesn't look like much has opened again this morning, although Duel is scheduled to open at 11am.

It is worth noting that the Rapids has been removed from Ride Times; I believe that it's winter maintenance is not yet complete as tech services were working on the assumption that it was not needed to be ready until May.

:)

Galactica VR is the back three rows, the queue splits into two lines as you enter the station. Sounds alright on paper but last Saturday there were some trains sent out with people on just the back three rows as no one wanted to ride without VR. When you consider how slow the dispatches are this made the queue absolutely crawl along.

That’s amusing, get rid of the VR because it wasn’t popular but now people want to ride with it because it’s restricted or “exclusive” :D

One thing to note is this was the first Partnership buy out day where VR on Galactica was available (last year it was running as Air and in 2016 the whole ride was closed) so for people who work for John Lewis and only visit once a year on this day it would have been their first opportunity to try it. I'd really like to think that on a normal operating day the distribution will be equal and every row will be sent out full. Hopefully we'll find out this afternoon!
