Paultons Park: General Discussion

I think this could well be a re-theme of the Cobra/Edge section of the park to bring the area up to the standards of the other parts of the park. First thing I thought if when I saw the teaser artwork was the smoky mountain could possibly be a representation of a re themed Magma.

“Storm Chaser” could potentially be a renamed/themed Edge.
“Al’s Auto Academy” could be the park's Go Karts

Cobra could probably stay pretty much intact but with some added themeing. i think the existing snake name would suit the area as it's looking to be following an Americana theme. Perhaps the new area will also include the Raging River log flume ride, Dragon ride and Sky Swinger with each receiving new themeing too?
I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually removed the fairground-esque Raging River and got a custom permanent log flume with theming later on.

I wouldnt rule out a hotel being put there in the future, but I think this will be a new eatery western style and a new coaster plus kids flat ride. James Mancey, operations director was at Grona Lund earlier this year, believed to be checking out twister so heres hoping.

That area is huge! Fingers crossed for two coasters like Lost Kingdom.

However, I do wonder if it might be accommodation. If you look at the background of the area, right next to a car park... Easy access?

I was thinking a hotel could go behind the tractor ride. Definitely at least one coaster hopefully a woodie like the one at parc saint paul or a mack spinner. Possible water ride? Can't wait for the official announcement!!

I’m surprised nobody has called this already, but the safe money is on a B&M Giga.
For Paultons? I won't say no, but I'd be amazed if they have the cash for something like that.
Never mind the planning permission.

And the fact that Paultons is a family park. A B&M giga would be awesome but I don't think it would suit the park. Plus I don't think they would have the money for one, as you said.

Whatever it is, the fact that's it's taking well over a year to construct suggests that this will be an area that the UK can be genuinely proud of. If there was some mobile kids rides and a few vinyls then I don't suppose it'd take more than a couple of months. Even a permanent kids coaster probably wouldn't need this kind of time scale. At least one British park will be adding something high quality next year. Hopefully it won't be the only one.

I've since noticed that apparently the miniature railway has already gone to make way for this, can anyone confirm?

A shame to lose that, it was one of the original features of the park. Considering PB fit Icon around the Express, it'd be disappointing if true.
