Gröna Lund: General Discussion

Grona Lund have shared some pictures showing the construction of the new invert, and the demolition of some of the buildings.

Also a 360 picture as well

This shows the construction is very complicated but is coming along well nonetheless. I suspect they won't be able to do much when the park reopens though.

In addition, the park has announced a new ride called "Snake" for 2019. Although this will only be a temporary attraction. https://www.gronalund.com/en/rides/snake/

(Not Grona Lund's version, but this will be the same ride basically)

I had totally forgotten about this project. I'm really looking forward to watching be built.

RCDB has given the invert a name of 'Blue Harvest', though Screamscape believe this to be a codename, with an actual name to be decided on closer to opening. Interestingly, Screamscape made that statement on May 4th this year - Star Wars Day. :p

@Jonathan on the RCDB link you posted it states "Blue Harvest is a project name. The final name will most likely be different."

It really is incredible that they're building a B&M invert. It's almost like they had a meeting to suggest the most impossible coaster types they could install in their park and chose it as a challenge to prove it can be done.

Obviously it's not going to be a record breaking invert but it certainly will be an iconic one for what they've got to work with.

I'm still awaiting a change in the layout that sees the invert do a roll through Insane's structure.

Not exactly the most inspiring name given the same model at Walygator. The theming concept seems interesting, particularly the station if done well, but I can't help but think it'll turn this entire section of the park into an eyesore.

Six rows makes sense given the nature of the layout I suppose.

This ride is going to be pretty unique anyway just because of the park its going in. No way on earth would anyone have said they could build a B&M in that park.

Been once and had a bit of a disastrous visit as weather and ride availability was very poor. Can't wait to go back when this is open and hopefully get more luck as it's such a great little park.
