I assume this is the final colour scheme and it isn't that bad but i hope there's a little theming but with Grona Lund being an amusement park, i'm not expecting much!
There's an image somewhere of the brake run / station with theming, although I can't seem to find it. It looked good, nonetheless. Grona Lund are far better at theming than some amusement parks.
Just seen on the European Coaster Club twitter that the first drop is in place and it looks a lot similar to Banshee's at Kings Island only a bit shorter!
Presumably Grona Lund are already investigating how to add yet another another drop tower to the side of the main support
When I saw this new retrofit from S&S the other day the first park I thought of was Gröna Lund, at least all their towers would then offer a somewhat different experience! Anyway, pretty sure this wins the award for B&M’s weirdest support ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
It's genuinely ridiculous they now have a B&M invert. I love it so much that they took on that project when the park is so so small.
Whilst a B&M invert is a statement of intent from the park, I think that video demonstrates that they'd have been better off with a more compact ride model that would have allowed them to build a better ride in the same area
If I'm right, Grona Lund had proposed an invert in around 2008 which would have been a lot bigger than this. In fact: They were denied permission though sadly but it seems like they had their heart set on an invert which is why we're getting this. I still can't wait for it though as it gives me another excuse to visit the park '
Just so long as you have an actual plan for getting back to your accommodation once the park's closed, yeah?
Potentially very premature thoughts given it is only an animation, but I cannot stand these new B&Ms where all the elements are long, drawn out and slow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
The weirdest thing is a lack of vertical loop. Looks fun, even a bad B&M is better than most coaster types out there. Unless it's a Stand-up. Sure the locals will love it too.
Hopefully the real thing is better than it appears in the POV. I can't help but feel that the pacing seems off in that video. If it does carry more speed then it could be quite intense.
Agreed. The ratio between the drop and that first inversion looks like it would clear it faster than it does on the POV.
