I'm glad they closed the Dungeon, I'd hate to do that on a wet and windy day. o_O

I love the wording of throwing terms and conditions around. No sorry for any disappointment, just go straight to the legal department.

I don't necessarily think they need to apologise.. they are only stating about the t&c's to cover as people will still no doubt complain even though they've been pre-warned.

It seems there could be a national lockdown announced on Monday. If this happens that means tommorow will be the last day of the season

I’ll be on park tomorrow, was expecting pass holder weekend to be my last visit but oh well. It’s for the good of the countries health system at the end of the day, we’ve been lucky to have the majority of the season uninterrupted. Towers have done a great job at adapting to the new restrictions, the hardest thing for them was finding the balance between passholder pre booking and standard day ticket admission. I’ve enjoyed the season with all things taken into account.

I think if anything the main thing Towers and Merlin have been successful at this year if restricting passholders to take advantage of travel restrictions limiting people to stay in the UK. So I would say that has been a good move for them. Also, will further cut down and phase out passholders as many will cancel due to the poor availability. Whe I spoke to a manager on the Merlin pass line she already had a massive speech she had clearly given time and time again about how they are doing this and that. So probably had lots of cancellations.

I got two visits before I gave up trying to book and only one was on the weekend and that was about a month is advance in the day booking opened. After that it was pretty much book a weekend day and hope to book it off work. Too much fading about. The "Passholder Days" were the last straw for me. Finished work on both days and couldn't book anything.

BPB was fantastic and managed to visit 7 times. Sign of a good portal was that never once did I feel the need to contact them to complain and even enquire about something.

So the season will end on 4th November. Given the circumstances it's been a good season and probably my best in a long time

That's if the lockdown is approved in the Commons, the vote is on Monday.

That's the season over folks :(

How long til people start asking about a refund for the days “lost” on a pass.

I know you are joking but despite the loss of the fireworks weekend, they did get rid of the closed days in September so the season had more days than planned, except of course for the Covid closure earlier in the year.

I didnt go to the park this year but emailed them last month to ask if I could transfer my season pass over to next year. They were really helpful and cancelled this years pass and transferred it over to next year. Thought that was very good of them to do this given the park has been open.

Merlin are fine to deal with ususlly as long as they don't have to give a refund.

Yeah they would be happy as long as they don't have to give a refund. I would have cancelled as covid restrictions will be in place next year and people might have the same issues with booking.

They should just be honest like Tokyo Disneyland and cancel all passes.

Based on the 4 months we've had, I'd like to review the operations of the rides during covid times
Nemesis- Running really well still, on 2 trains the queue will move quickly like normal
Wicker man- Despite filling every other row, the queue seems to move very fast on this. 3 trains, train onto the lift before the other reaches the brake, superb operations on this
Galactica- Not really been affected but it's a slower throughput ride anyway. Queue has always moved fairly slow on this
Rita- Again just like Galactica, this ride has a lower throughput and moves fairly slowly. Not really different to normal and similar queues
Oblivion- When running double station on 6 shuttles, this is one of the best and most efficient operated rides in the park. On one station though, it's arguably the opposite. From the same point in the queue, I waited 10 mins when the ride was on 2 stations, but 30 when it was on 1. Explains why this ride always seems to have longer queues during the week than at the weekend.
The smiler- seems to move in intervals this ride. You don't move at all in 5 mins but then you move loads within the next minute. It's another fairly slow moving queue overall. Still at least watching the ride go round is entertaining.
Th13teen- Save the worst til last. The throughput has been diabolical this year. Ride running at half capacity or less this year. Therefore the queue moves really slowly and the queues get long all the time. Not enjoyable waiting for a slow moving and operated average family coaster. But if the queue is short then why not
