An old friend of mine from school was on park today, and from the photos she put on FB, it didn't look pretty.I’m intrigued to see what Smiler’s pit was like; I’ve seen photos of it where the rain has been far less heavy and it’s looked akin to a river…

No Oblivion, Thirteen or Hex today it would seem.

Pleased that they've managed to get them all open and the heavy rain didn't cause any long term damage for any of the rides.

Erm, what happened here?!
Oh nooo!! This is heartbreaking, they were looking so good on Sunday. Really green and smiley.

I was at Towers yesterday and there really was a river going into Smiler's pit. But luckily it was draining very well and there was minimal, if any flooding there. The ride was open later in the day.I’m intrigued to see what Smiler’s pit was like; I’ve seen photos of it where the rain has been far less heavy and it’s looked akin to a river…
Also the frog fountains were fine at park close yesterday, so it must've happened in the night.

Staff said the ride will remain closed all day, Rita should open later in the day. However an hour ago the crane was still on site. And both are still showing as closed.

Had a feeling "Rita should open later" meant "closed all day" and it was.

I'm guessing there was damage to the roof following the rain?
Looks more likely they are opening the roof to get at the drop tower. I would guess the rain flooded the pit and they need to replace some parts or work on the drop.
