Assuming a dispatch of 2 people every 4 minutes, that gives 120 people or £1800. Of course a good coaster could get through 120 people in just over 5 minutes.
I hate to be pedantic, but it is not a coaster and you can't really compare it against one. It's an upcharge experience on one of three trains on a good coaster.

In the same way that the front row queue on Stealth doesn't have a capacity that is comparable to the other 36 seats.

I completely agree with you, I just wanted to mention the capacity compared to a high capacity coaster to show why the 4 hour queue says more about the low capacity of the experience than it's popularity (and why I think the whole thing is ridiculous).

Got it ... you could walk on to it yesterday. Peaks and troughs. It's a fun experience and not particularly detrimental to the capacity overall.

Can't really argue with the £15 price point today. I wouldn't be paying it but it doesn't take a large proportion of the total guests coughing up for it to sell out

Agreed .... which make you wonder if they will eventually do something with dynamic pricing. The park was steady yesterday, Big One was less than 10 minutes all day but Icon was solidly out of the gate with two trains. The Enso seats were being used perhaps once every five or six dispatches.

Enso will likely bring in £5400 today before we get into the £25 queue jump. If they have a good number of days like today where it does sell out then I can see why Blackpool have done it. I just wouldn't have risked the bad publicity the park have had from local papers and on social media.

Does that figure account for the fact that almost everyone is opting to ride alone ?

I'm surprised Blackpool would allow them to do that since it would be a halving of their income (and an even larger queue) if they are then halve the figure to get £2700, if they are not doing a late opening and are doing 10-6 then £1800.

If lots of groups are making their bookings individually in order to ride alone then it could significantly reduce the number of people able to ride and the amount of money Enso brings in. Maybe if a lot of people do this they'll catch on and change the pricing structure to discourage it, similar to Vertigo at Oakwood which has a set price per flight regardless of how many people are riding (£36 as of last year, so £18/pp for 2 passengers or just £12/pp for 3).

If people are single riding to unbalance the car then could they enhance the spinning some other way? I know the Mack Xtreme spinning coasters use electromagnets to control the spinning but could they be used to increase the spinning?

Just been asked by a manager how they can make Late Night Riding better. I suggested they could book Deadmau5 for The Hub.

Not amused.
Rick, please remember to include a full explanation for towerstreets older readers ! ?

Sorry old boy, said DJ's name is pronounced as "Dead Mouse"
I got the dead mouse bit, it was the DJ part I didn't have a clue about.

You mean he's a bit like Tony Blackburn ?
