Thanks for bringing that tweet back around again; truly one of the most obnoxious things ever publicly posted by a director of anything, ever.
Given we already have the Smiler, Stealth & Hyperia, I think we're about done in the UK for fastest/tallest/most loops...? Personally, I think BPB needs more rides rather than another folly. And I'm sure Valhalla must be quite flammable with all that fire....
Someone must have a broken Top Spin for sale that Mandy can fix with some chewing gum and melted Blackpool rock....

Well it took from Winter 2019 to May 2023 to get Valhalla reopen so give them time to get Ice blast and River Caves reopened.

Is truly one of the best things anyone had ever said in this community. Truly a historic tweet we'll all never forget

Always fun asking such questions!!!
The place is run by a single person, as she likes, when she likes, on whim.
Makes things very interesting.
There are strong rumours of last minute changes to big plans three times since Icon.
On all three occasions...nothing.
Grand Prix closure party, giroswing, big wheel...all before we start discussing coasters that some seem pretty certain of, as they were told by a big bloke in boots as the concrete was coming down.
I hear rumours that the concrete of the overpass is about to be heavily tested for the first time in five years, and that is the reason the dome has been empty for so long, previous non destructive testing years ago showed excessive vibration.
Allegedly.
The overpass is beyond end of life plans, all that water and salt getting into the cracks for many decades.
The park might possibly not be getting a flat, but becoming flat.
Please don't leave Crevettes hanging.
At least I will be back on stage in Crevettes next year, riding or not.

I was under the impression the park had tried to buy it several times and failed every time. It'll cause huge problems when the time comes. T Cafe, Crevettes, several small kiosks, Wallace, Infusion and Big Dipper are all affected by it at surface level, would imagine there's plenty of cables and pipes inside too.

There's no rides built on top of the underpass though, are there? I thought PMBO was the only current attraction thst crosses the road.
It's more the logistics that are affected due to the number of rides accessed of the broad path sitting on top if the underpass between W&G and the Grand Prix memorial fountain

The Dipper and Infusion are easily sorted at ground level with no problems at all.
The only issues are Crevettes (the family concerned run other bars in the park) and W&G...and there is the back stairs from the Magnolia Cafe to access that ride.
There may be no option but to drop or replace...
Allegedly.
All those military Bailey bridge supports holding up the River Caves roof are probably getting clapped out as well.

Oh wow, is that really what the building is made out of‽ That's epic if so.The Dipper and Infusion are easily sorted at ground level with no problems at all.

Indeed sir...in one of my ancient old guidebooks.
Look closely the next time on in the final jungle room with the lift ramp!
I do lie for fun, but that one is true, honest...postwar military surplus...that Billy Butlin didn't want.
Another good one is the Geoffrey Thompson/Wardley pub meet up around '94...at the Hand and Dagger at Treales, near Kirkham.
Oh to be sat at the next table eavesdropping.
Well worth the detour on the way home from the Beach, fantastic food and drink at northern prices.

No, but it's a big jump from ground level to the entrance for Wallace.
I could see them if successful in buying the road (I doubt it) just filling it in.
