Six Flags Great Adventure: General Discussion

I literally had the same thought after watching the video!

What I find crazy is how on hitting the ground almost every track piece breaks away like it's made of matchsticks. I don't know if they did something to preweaken the joints but assuming they didn't it's remarkable it just fell apart as it did.

Mean that amount of force would probably shear the bolts even if tightened. Rides are just giant Mecanno sets end of the day.

I know we complain about towers, but SFGA has been in absolute shambles for a few years now, and the management/customer experience team seem to care less than merlin 😂

Looks slow

I can see what you mean - especially when Six Flags removed Kingda Ka without a send off or any notice.

If Merlin did that to Nemesis, there would be an uproar.
Yep! And the removal of like 5 other rides, on top of a flop of a 50th anniversary and flash being delayed (not awful when isolated, but when combined with everything else its kinda hilarious)

I really miss the crazy late 90s - early 00's era of the coaster wars in the US. Kingda Ka marked the end of all that really.

The new for 2024 Vekoma Super boomerang is finally opening at the end of March.

Looking forward to trying it in a few months time.
