Staying at splash landings for 3 nights this month and it's the first time we've stayed on resort.

I've heard there is an entrance to the theme park from the hotels through the woods. Is this true, how do we get there, how long does it take and where does it enter the park?

Is it worth it or are we better just getting the monorail?

Thanks.

The woodland walk entrance was closed due to CBeebies Hotel construction. I don't think it's re-opened. The path exited not far from the Forbidden Valley Skyride station. Now the only way to get in is to take the monorail (or walk for 20 minutes)

Monorail it is then. Thanks for the info.

I'll be riding to the death so Smiler queue for 17.59 get the last ride in and then a leisurely walk to Galactica and the gate hopefully should be open by then.
I'd always ask somebody just to double check what time the gate opens for you to get back to the car park. Last week the queue was huge for the Monorail.

Oblivion
Smiler
Spinball
Th13teen

All single ride
:)

Although I do feel Th13teen's single rider queue needs better managing. Was there about 2 weeks ago and people were joining single rider and then merging with general queue at the baggage hold area, frustrating when the queue was already very long they were getting a free fast track really. Told the staff member in the baggage area and then said 'theres nothing we can do'

errrr...
how about you put the chain across and ensure they go up the right hand side of the stairway for single rider instead of just ignoring it.

When I was at Alton on Monday, waiting at The Smiler single rider queue at the bagging dispatch area, some kids sneaked in through the door that joins the exit to the bagging area and sneaked up into the station. These were followed by another group of kids who got caught and sent back out, I did mentioned that there were more who had sneaked through. So I identified them when I got to the top of the station and they were ejected from the station...

..I don't care about being a grass, in my opinion, if you queue jump you deserve to be ejected :)

I remember a few years ago when a group of annoying twerps cut through the Skyride queue, and about 10 people in the queue shouted to the host they pushed though, lovely host told them to leave. :p
