What has happened to Woodland Walk behind the hotels now they have built CBeebies where the entrance used to be?
I think the Woodland Walk is no more, unfortunately. It's presumably SBNO. Not too sure, though.

It would be a bit pointless this year, anyway, due to them opening FV at 11am.

Near the fv side of it there's a sign that said it's being refurbished, so like Nemeisis: SubTerror it's likely gone for good.

The question I'm asking is how can they refurbish it? As you can't really refurbish the woods without getting into trouble with the Council.

Don't know why they're keeping the Woodland Walk closed. It's just a path, it can't be saving them any money.

Their was a sign up last year saying the woodland walk was closed due to an fungus and they were working with the environment agency. This was replaced with the sign saying it was under refurbishment.
I think it may of changed as it basically says, 'one of our visitors has transport a nasty thing into the woodland walk. And the EA has told us to close it'

There's no point having it open if FV isn't open until 11, so they're saving the electricity of the gate, the CCTV and the intercom. Every little helps.

How easy would it be to access the Woodland Walk now that CBeebies Land is where you would usually walk to it from ATH? You'd have to walk all of the way round both hotels, if that is possible (I've not checked myself).

:)

I have just booked to stay in the Enchanted Village in March and I was wondering if anybody has stayed in one of the lodges before and knows what facilities there are inside them? (Bath etc?)

The standard Woodland Lodges have:
  • A main room with a double bed, a TV, a kettle etc.
  • A separate sleeping area for children with a bunk bed
  • A bathroom that has a combined bath & shower along with toilet & sink.
Hope that answers your question!

I've stayed twice, and although they get slagged off on here, I actually quite like them. I'd book a lodge over the other offerings because I prefer the rooms, although I find EV itself dull in places.

The main sleeping area is similar in size to a decent sized double bedroom with the usual things you'd expect. There's a separate little room to the side that is separated from the main room with a curtain containing bunk beds. The bathroom is small but has a bath with shower, decent sink, heated towel rail and for some reason unknown to me, a toilet that when you sit on it it obstructs the door.

I find the rooms quite nice and charming and the outside porch with benches is great for having a beer whilst the kids play in the summer. My main criticisms are the annoying toilet location, the slightly boring crooked spoon shutting so early and the fact the whole area has an "Air" style feeling of not being quite finished.

Hey, who are we to judge? Whatever floats yer boat, I say.

So long as you clean up afterwards.

I'm not really sure why that should be a problem, unless you habitually leave the door unlocked in which case I can see there's a possible risk of injury if someone barges in.
That's exactly what I've done. Also not closed the door so I can keep an eye on the kids, then one of them opens the curtains or the front door....

We love the lodges, nice and quiet, there is no corridors with people walking down, no thuds of kids running pass your door, slamming doors during the night.Only the once we had noisy neighbours. Better access for Jess's wheelchair, no lifts or fire doors to negotiate to get to and from your room
