On the note of the haunted hollow, I was locked in  came out the entrance by duel, headed through to mutiny Bay to find it locked off and presumably the duel entrance was also like that. 5 minute queue to jump the gate just summed operations up.
When did they shut it? I assumed it had been closed all day.

Getting to/from Forbidden Valley was a right pain. The high winds meant Skyride was shut, and I'm guessing they shut Haunted Hollow and the gardens in their entirety for the same reason (falling branches?). It meant the only way to the Valley was the long way around past Duel. I was tempted to leap the fence but decided not to in the end.

I don't know about the mutiny Bay gate, but it was around 12:30-1 when I went through the gate by duel which was open, a lot of people went down it. A queue of people were at the gate that was locked, and it would've been stupid to head back. I'm going to guess staff shut one while not considering people were going to enter the other gate.

I'm surprised they didn't try to sell fast track to me to be honest, today was the first time ever I've been tempted to with Wickerman at night, two trains, queue in overflow by the otherside the turn just after going through the structure for the first time and a fast track queue that still looked pretty long. I don't know if it was just my run through, but the preshow ended and about half the people in there could fit in the station. Not seen that happen before on any of my runs.

On a positive the ride was great, and they was a slight jump scare in the tunnel that got me!

Happened to us on all three goes yesterday, don’t know if they’ve been told not to bother counting people in or not but the main queue was constantly moving and just Fastrack / RAP stopped by the chain.

Is that something they've added recently, or is it the
smoke sprayers and lighting
That has been there since opening?

in a way, the smoke sprayers and orange lighting were there, but all of a sudden a flame appeared in the end tunnel that I was heading straight for, and it was heated, ended up jumping out of the way. I've never noticed it before, was on the left side of the train.

Oh wow! That definitely wasn't there when I last visited in August. Must be new.

Yeah, that happened to me as well, when using the RAP queue. They now just let people free flow into the pre-show hold/baggage area. Can be a squash.

A real flame in the last tunnel? I've not seen that on any of my rides including yesterday's Scarefest.

Reading towers Twitter today it sounds like there were lots of problems with travelers abusing staff and guests

And on a completely unrelated note... spotted outside Splash Landings today:

I was on park yesterday and experienced no trouble whatsoever from these guests. There were a handful of undesirable, unpleasant characters about but there always are at these events... the only large groups of "travellers" I witnessed were almost entirely made up of 14-15 year olds who would never get served anyway and were irritatingly gobby but totally harmless.

Personally I thought the police / security presence and alcohol ban seemed frankly ridiculous based on what I experienced, a total overreaction. However if other guests' days were indeed ruined by others then that is a genuine shame.

Can someone explain to me the point of the airport style security scanners at the turnstiles.
Ok I like a bit of extra security but I literally walked through with my bag and phone and obviously it flashed red just like everyone else but no extra checks were carried out
Seemed a bit pointless to me
