Scarefest 2012

According to their twitter account, the android version should be available from Thursday (should). :D

Also, the Towers tweeted this pic:

I sure hope those aren't the two from the rapids boat as that was really something special.

I Would Believe these are the ones from Oblivion, If I Remember correctly AT Confirmed that the Skeletons won't be on oblivion this year!

It wouldn't reduce capacity enough for anyone to care, same as the rapids! :)

In other news, I absolutely love the app! Not only does it maintain the best of the original app when it comes to park information (remains to be seen how good the queue times will be), but the sound effects and mix-making thing is just so fun and I guess works brilliantly for subtle advertising for the attractions, as well as getting some much needed exposition for the characters. Loving it!

There are two Scarefest games on the Alton Towers website now. The Carnival of Screams and Zombie Scare Zone game. They are the same games that were on the site last year, but still, nice that they are stil on there either way. :) Click me.

Some of the TowersStreet team are also on park today. So we will be posting some Scarefest updates throughout the day. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to keep up to date with the latest updates!

They've been there all year :)

Just had the following email from the Resort:

'Alton Towers Resort’s ultimate Halloween experience lurks just around the corner as Scarefest returns for another year — AND the horrors of TH13TEEN have been unleashed!

TH13TEEN is based on the discovery of an unearthed ancient burial site in an area of unexplored woodland known as the Dark Forest. Built on the site of the old Corkscrew rollercoaster, you will be invited to take a petrifying ride on TH13TEEN, venturing into the seemingly living and breathing Dark Forest. There you will face an unknown horror that has been unleashed from the ancient crypt.'

Could this hint that something is happening to TH13TEEN this year? :D

Would be nice if they put some of the red and yellow flags and posters around it like they did last year, brighten it up a little! But nice to see they've themed the exit!

Ah so they've put the entrance near the conference centre. That's a good idea, makes its rather odd theme not clash with anything else and means the Goal Striker doesn't have to look like a circus tent all over. In fact that would be kind of cool if it looked like a circus tent as you entered but an obvious tin shed from the exit as if the circus had revealed its true nature.

Loving that exit decoration!
Im hoping people run from the exit, and it become a spectator sport to see people leave.

I'm sure they'd have more than 2 Skeletons, but I think they'd only add the Rapids ones last minute anyway. And asking my mate to check on his phone, he currently cannot find a Alton Scarefest app, it'll prolly be up for park opening or something when most management staff are in so they can pester the servers.

And was it just me, or did the Freedom Passes seem to sell slower than one would anticipate?

The Freedom Pass wasn't intended as a big money making machine, it was just an idea to give something for a very limited audience who would do the mazes a lot, hence why it was restricted at 100 passes.

As for the app I don't think Towers are holding back the android version, I think it's just waiting for Android to put it in the store.

Google play normally only do very basic checks on apps unlike Apple. This leads me to believe that it was submitted to Apple before being sent to Google.

I don't mind them re-using the Sub-Terra advert for Scarefest. After all - it fits the scary theme, Sub-Terra still is this year's new attraction, and not have to spend stupid amounts of money on a completely new advert.

It's good - I hope we see it on TV quite a bit soon. :)
