Slightly baffled at the rumours that Paul Lambert is trying to buy Hoolahan off us...

Is all a little strange Scott I agree, did PL not play him much at Norwich then, the way this rumour if flying around is as if PL is a big fan of his?

Also "Der Hammer" becomes first Prem player to come out. Now I don't care how much people think you are invincible because you earn good money, that took bottle.

A consummate professional, a tidy player, who retains the respect of every Villa fan I know. As such I think I speak for a vast majority of us in wishing the lad well, I hope this helps lead to a more open, inclusive culture within football that is still antiquated in certain attitudes. It is quite bizarre that is has taken until 2014 for a Premier League footballer to be open about their sexuality.

Not actually too annoyed about the defeat today, I expected it. With Mourinho's incredible home record, our big injuries and the fact that Chelsea are our bogey team, it wasn't a surprise.

What was shocking is the way in which we conceded. Although their first was lucky, Jones should have done much better, and the second and third were just awful.

Although United obviously need to spend big in the summer (now would be nice but it won't happen), there is a big overreaction. We're missing Rooney and RVP; it's the equivalent of Chelsea without Hazard and Oscar, or Liverpool without Suarez and Sturridge...

6 clean sheets in 12 games and just 8 goals conceded during that time.

Not bad! Not bad at all.

Those penalties were probably the worst I've ever seen. Horrendous.

I love De Gea and think he's a fantastic keeper, but he simply can't make mistakes like that in the 119th minute of the game with Sunderland's first shot on target. Howler.

Well, we've just completed the signing of Juan Mata from Chelsea for £37.1m. Hopefully, this will give us a substantial boost for the rest of the season. I know we almost certainly won't win the league this season, but I'm hoping for a spot in Europe - even if it is in the Europa League.

A brilliant signing and a bit of a coup for United. If you'd said at the start of the season that he would be sold to United in January I don't think anyone would believe it. He is a fantastic player.

:)

Lots of debate about where Mata will play though and how he will fit.

Can I offer a solution to DM and suggest he sends him out to the Villa on loan for the rest of the season? Ta.

Modern football. When a footballer going on a date is news because he's not in a suit that cost more than most people make in a year.

Things maybe looking up for man u, as Ashley Young today starts a new fitness program called ' Your not driving anymore' :D

Kim Kallstrom, Arsenal's loan signing to cover for their current injury problems, has been injured in his first training session and is rumoured to be out for 3 months. You couldn't make it up, hilarious.

The BBC are reporting that Arsenal knew about the injury before signing him. I'm not sure which version of events is funnier TBH.
