Legoland Windsor

Indeed, so what's happening to Burger Ranch? Any ideas?

Seems weird getting rid of crossed ribs (essentially a brand anyway, all parks bar chessie have a BBQ, even weymouth sealife has one).

Anything replacing ribs for burgers sounds bad :(
Any Merlin own-brand food sounds bad :(
Not really. Take Fried Chicken Co. for an example, its basically a KFC but Merlin owned. The food quality is great, and the are nice and clean. It is cheaper to get food from FCC than it was when KFC was at the parks.

If you compare the menus:

Crossed Ribs
The Burger Kitchen (Alton Towers)

there isn't a huge difference - it is already mainly burgers.

They have got Pirates BBQ, which is just around the corner, for their BBQ fix. Perhaps it might have its menu beefed up a bit, though I expect what it can produce will be limited by its facilities.

Ohh, that's interesting. 2013 must've been the first year crossed ribs did burgers. Before, it used to have the exact same menu as courtyard tavern/calypso BBQ.

I will place bets with you that before long Merlin will open one outside of a park.

Horrible brand, unpleasant food. More generic crap from the McDonald's of the theme park world.

May as well call themselves McMerlin.

I see on the unofficial LLW site, they plan a smaller grab and go burger kitchen in Lego city, two possible locations could be either harbourside coffee co or the Ice factory, if the latter, it would be a shame as it is a nice little ice cream place.

Neither they'll just rebrand the existing Burger Ranch as you head round towards the hotel I'd imagine.

They've put up the new prices for day tickets now - annual passes still on offer, so no new prices for them, as well as nothing for Q Bot, parking etc.

Not too bad for adult tickets, with just a few percent. However, the child tickets have increased significantly. They had a summer increase and another now, with the latest being bigger than the adult increases to start with and when doing year on year, they are between 9 and 13%.

With the difference between the adult and child rate increases, the gap between adult and child rates are narrowing too.

However, the only good news (so far) is no sign of the rumoured peak pricing!

Have I missed something or has Merlin managed to completely let the Lego Movie pass it by in its parks and discovery centres?

Seems odd

I suspect it's some sort of licensing issue to do with the distributors of the film (which is apparently excellent)

I believe they had some form of Premiere of the film in Florida...

I guess as it's out of season for the parks, and the Discovery Centres are limited to space (and not many seem to visit them), there's been a minimal ability to take advantage of the film's release...

Hearing rumors that Legoland Windsor has flooded, anyone know if this is true?

Have you ever BEEN there? From the park entrance, you can look down on aircraft flying out of Heathrow. If LLW has flooded, then the the top of The Shard is also underwater.

;)

(Also, fair point about Roast and Relish. The only edible food Merlin have ever sold.)

The Lego Movie is AWESOME!

The film is made by Warner Bros with licences to use Lego so I wouldn't expect anything much at the parks as these are run by Merlin under licences from Lego. They will probably have the Lego Movie sets in the shop though.
