It's the summer there is continual good weather new high level attractions for different markets from last year to this, 7pm should be a standard Saturday opening time for the summer months.
Towers is an odd cookie, sometimes people just don't stay late. Personally think they need to move to a system like EP and assess the situation each day, rather than pre-decided closing times.

I think that is the general consensus with regards to opening later - in that most people travel for several hours to get to AT (many staff commute over an hour) and therefore the latest they should/would open to would be say 7pm.
I know i've worked on a 7pm ride close before and it makes the day ridiculously long (2 hour commute each way meant leaving home at 6am and getting home around half 9pm!)

As Dave said, it should be decided on the day but they should keep to the formula rigidly, with no exceptions. The problem is, there isn't generally a pattern that they 100% abide by... some times they don't extend, other times they announce in advance they're closing later but actually they don't need to...
You would think it should be simply...
Below 10,000: 5pm
10-13,000: 5.30pm
14-16,000: 6.00pm
16-18,000: 6.30pm
18-20,000: 7.00pm
20,000+: 7.30pm
Plus, add 1/2 hour extra if it's a weekend/school holiday and the weather is fine... and obviously, they can set in stone event dates such as Scarefest and Fireworks.
I know staff will probably moan at the above, but that is how a number of major players operate.

They should definitely do that - not only is it fair, but also pretty predictable in the first place (they always have a rough idea of how many they'll have for instance, so a half hour difference to a predicted time will mean nothing to most staff as you'd be expecting it)

With any luck, It might be a Roast And Relish shop. But whatever it is, it's going to be in just the right place to get in the way of firework launchers.
Fireworks went too well last year, they wont do it again, it will raise expectations too high
