2016: Air - Re-theme to VR Coaster - Galactica

Charging for it would take the biscuit a bit. They wouldn't get away with charging extra for it! You pay £50 to get in and then another £5 every time you want to ride one of the six rides you paid £50 to get on! Even Merlin aren't stupid enough to charge for it!
A classic 'Even evil has standards' moment there!

No Tey would still be connected to the restraints, the picture shows thatAnd then all the visitors to med çentre with injuries from flying VR headset bits. Followed up by a visit to SueThemAndLaugh.co.uk and the red tops.

I wonder if the music in the background of this video will be the new theme music for the ride - or is it just stock music?

Just thought. Whats the deal with sound on this then? Surely the VR adventure will have some form of sound to it, i.e. music/space effects. Surely there must be headphones incorporated into the device to make it fully immersive? Otherwise it'l just be tinny and spoil the illusion

From what I have heard the VR headsets will be attached to the craft before you board (i.e. they will already be there). How this is going to work from a cleaning point of view I have no idea (as apparently they are going to be using wet wipes for the cleaning).
I can see the whole thing being a logistical nightmare when it initially opens.

I can see this being one of those things that looks great on paper, but very difficult to apply in the real world.
I hope this comes off for Alton Towers as they could do with some good news for once, but I think this is really going to be difficult for staff to keep on top of in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.

They will need more staff in the station surely? I cannot see any other way how they could have staff going around doing all the past duties on Air, then on top of that wiping each headset, ensuring they are secure on guests, dealing with any other issues etc...
I like the idea something brought up somewhere about guests being given some kind of thin glasses for hygiene, to separate your face from the actual headset. Staff going around with wet wipes doesn't sound like the greatest ideas. Will be interesting to see how it works in practice.

So, I see the tunnel got a re-theme.
Never say they don't listen.
Not a fan of the name. air was classy, smooth, and silky. The music, the peace of the ride (apart from the obvious), air was a beautiful ride never finished (and I'm not a fan of it to ride).
That name is jarring.
Quite impressed with the idea, think it could work well, but I wish they'd kept the more serene feel of air itself.
But wait and see.
If the outlet of the air tunnel is stargate like though and done well, that could be good.

I'm always amazed that a small team of people in F1 can replace 4 tyres on a Formula 1 car within 3 seconds. It just shows with the right tools and the right process you can do almost anything quickly and safely. AT can't afford another PR nightmare this season, so it will be interesting to see execute this safely without affecting too much throughput. Lets hope the teams get plenty of practice before the new season as first impressions do count, especially when word of mouth can reach around the world in an instant.

Over the past 5 years at least I've got to say I haven't queued for air for more than 20 mins. I think they can afford to have a little queue time.

You think they will remember to remove the air wording in the block paving
