2017: CBeebies Land Hotel

I am not saying that the hotel should be open so people on their own without kids can go in, I'm saying the hotel should be open so families from other hotels can go in.

Why is a non-existent 40 year old man being brought up...

Okay, that's fair enough. MakoMania mentioned a 40 year old man in the Hotel and you responded to that post, so I thought we were talking about enthusiasts (some of whom might be 40) having a quick explore of the Hotel, sans children. That is what I thought might be a bit odd to parents with very young children.

As for the rule regarding families with young children from the other Hotels not being allowed in, I'd imagine this is their way of trying to encourage these families to stay at the CBEEBIES hotel to begin with. If the parents initially don't want to pay the extortionate prices, but their children really want to watch the entertainment the new Hotel has on offer - entertainment that they won't be eligible to watch if they stay at the other accomodation - then the parents may feel somewhat forced to reconsider. More money for Merlin.

I'll give them credit, on paper the entertainment does look very good. But how long will it last? Not long is my guess

I'd imagine the reason that they are intedning to make it CBeebies Land Hotel guests only is because of the extortionate prices they are charging for it. It is far more than any of the other hotels (standard rooms) and if families are paying that much they don't want to find that they can't see the entertainment or get a seat at breakfast beacause they have been beaten to it by guests from ATH and Splash. I do understand that.

Having said that I would like to think there will be an opportunity for others to at least see the hotel. It could it entice other families into booking for a future stay for a start.

No doubt the exclusivity and the sheer amount of entertainment going forward will be dependent on the hotel's occupancy rate. The entertainment certainly doesn't seem sustainable long term when you look at what Towers have done on park in recent years.

I also find it amusing that there is so much entertainment during the day, they clearly know that there's not enough on park for more than one full day!

It is confirmed on the CBeebies Land webpage. But I do expect after a few months when they know what time of the day they are busiest they will have more entertainment.

I wonder how much they will enforce the rule that only CBeebies Hotel guests can enter the hotel? This seems a bit unfair to other guests that may want to go have a nose, or even a family staying in another hotel that may want to take their kids in there for the evening.

Given there is a big price difference between Splash Landings and CBeebies Hotel I think it makes sense that only the guests who have paid for it should get the premium entertainment in CBeebies. If all the hotels were the same price it would be different

That's why I mention the other hotels. You have the Enchanted Village, Alton Towers Hotel, Splash Landings Hotel... kids stay in the other hotels and the setup with the current hotels is that you can roam around as a paying hotel guest and choose

The price different between the current hotels is a lot less and the entertainment is similar in both.

If we're not allowed to see what it looks like when it's completed, this project may as well not exist as far as I am concerned.

I don't think there is any reason you can't book a room in the CBeebies hotel for two adults without kids, but yes I do get your point.

Just goes to show how completely out of touch with the world Towers marketing department is when they can't even grasp where their target audience is, or that a child must be at least 13 years old to have a Facebook account.
