I'm guessing they will be updating all boats, after the drayton manor incident
Did they half inch this boat from Thorpe.
Thorpe don't have the centre hand rails fitted
Maybe Thorpe are putting the Center things back in. ? They need them as bag storage
Someone reckoned earlier on in the topic that the park was opening on the 16th March, which is a Friday. But the vouchers beg to differ... #ThePlotThickens
EDIT: On a serious note, is this going to become the yearly "[insert year here]: General Discussion" thread. Or will that be made in the new year?
Or new for 2018, turn the wheel in the middle to spin the boats
It is one of Thorpes. Someone pointed out on FB that you can see where the Thorpe Park branding has been peeled off the side.
Some interesting and big changes to the MAP from this month
Sounds like a good idea to get more people to visit off-peak. I don't think standard passes make them that much money really despite any extra food/merch spend.
This is already being discussed over in European Parks and Attractions, so please carry on discussion over there!
All those closed days next year !
although they have Scarefest running all the way till fireworks !
Would that of been me?
1st and 2nd Oct a different shade of green, so probably not decided yet
Nice that they are giving date early so we can take advantage of the winter sale for booking accommodation at the resort
Looking at the hotels for my birthday 18 April the other day. Very cheap now I know why. Glad I didn't book niw
So they are closed Monday Tues Wed , in September and October, crackers!
But an extra 2 days of Scarefest !
Halloween in November! who'd a thunk it
That'll be because it's November, shown on October's page.
Had a look on Alton Towers' tickets page, and 17th March 2018 is definitely our opening date, as this is the earliest that they are selling tickets for.
This is a bit of a kick in the teeth to passholders who have already seen their options limited by the restrictions put on peak days. Now there's less off peak days for them to choose from.
That aside, I'm not totally against this, there's some good news in this.at last. The park is closing on extremely quiet days but is giving a decent 2 week straight Scarefest event and opening in mid March.
I'd much prefer more off peak closed days and better opening hours. Although this is generally bad news for pass holders, if this means an end to those outrageous 4pm closures, it's good for the park.
But that's a big if...
That's a good point. If you can't use your pass Friday, Saturday or Sunday..... and the park is closed Monday, Tuesday Wednesday..... I'd say there are grounds to contact trading standards over this!
