Where did Friday come from?!:oops:
Someone reckoned earlier on in the topic that the park was opening on the 16th March, which is a Friday. But the vouchers beg to differ... #ThePlotThickens
EDIT: On a serious note, is this going to become the yearly "[insert year here]: General Discussion" thread. Or will that be made in the new year?

Sounds like a good idea to get more people to visit off-peak. I don't think standard passes make them that much money really despite any extra food/merch spend.

All those closed days next year !:(

although they have Scarefest running all the way till fireworks !

Looking at the hotels for my birthday 18 April the other day. Very cheap now I know why. Glad I didn't book niw

Had a look on Alton Towers' tickets page, and 17th March 2018 is definitely our opening date, as this is the earliest that they are selling tickets for.

This is a bit of a kick in the teeth to passholders who have already seen their options limited by the restrictions put on peak days. Now there's less off peak days for them to choose from.

That aside, I'm not totally against this, there's some good news in this.at last. The park is closing on extremely quiet days but is giving a decent 2 week straight Scarefest event and opening in mid March.

I'd much prefer more off peak closed days and better opening hours. Although this is generally bad news for pass holders, if this means an end to those outrageous 4pm closures, it's good for the park.

But that's a big if...

That's a good point. If you can't use your pass Friday, Saturday or Sunday..... and the park is closed Monday, Tuesday Wednesday..... I'd say there are grounds to contact trading standards over this!
