Do we have any more information about the wasteland stomp show?
Seems to be called Wasteland Bash rather than stomp, but not much else. It's clearly still in a testing phase, with no official show times yet.

Actually, today’s operations were pretty damn good. I left the park at 4 and managed to do 13 rides, all of them being major coasters so I’m pretty impressed. The park was dead towards the end of the day.

April fools? Or are the towers actually on fire?

Just when you think the park can move forward, a story is released about merlin and alton towers asking for a tax return review after the affects of the smiler crash. They have to bring it all up again just when things were moving on and a new ride opens.

Blood money! Alton Towers asks for TAX CUT due to profits slump after Smiler rollercoaster horror crash that saw passengers lose limbs
Alton Towers has risked a public backlash by asking for a tax cut because the horrific Smiler rollercoaster crash hit the firm’s takings.
The theme park’s owners blamed a slump in trade on the catastrophe three years ago which left several passengers with life-changing injuries.
It urged the Government to review its £4 million business rates bill – the annual tax it pays on the park – because visitors had been put off thrill rides. But a tribunal in London revealed two weeks ago it had dismissed the request.
Merlin – which admitted breaching the Health and Safety Act – was fined £5 million. The crash occurred after an engineer restarted the ride while a stationary carriage was still on the track.
Merlin chief Nick Varney said after the court hearing in 2016 that the firm had ‘let people down with devastating consequences.’ At a tribunal in London to hear the case for a tax cut, Merlin said its annual business rates payments should be cut because the public had been put off rollercoasters.
That would also help with the Smilers atrocious rap queue, shame merlin are too cheap even for part time bag stores.I had a thought over bag rooms. Wickerman has one running. Smiler, thirteen have theirs mothballed.
Would it be an idea to part time rooms. On days where they know they are going to have very high guest number. They open them.
Or at least the smilers as that the second largest queue time most days after wickerman.

I can't imagine rap getting long queues with such a merge system, almost enough for me to buy others in my group single shot fastracks for the smiler Just so I don't have to struggle with it!Before the start of the season, I'd assumed that without a merge host, fastrack and RAP would share the left side of the queue with main on the right. Tickets/return times could either be checked by an entrance host or otherwise the merge host would be responsible for everything.
The current situation is just bonkers though - they're expecting main queue people who've waited however long to give way to the RAP guests. Good luck with that. I'd hate to be in the position of trying to merge in the main queue at that point, you'd just get abuse from everyone else. It clearly won't work on fireworks day - last year RAP and fastrack queues were out the building most of the day, and that's before they slashed capacity on the ride by closing the bag room.
