So we have a bit more clarification on this now. The requirement for table service only applies to licensed premises, so it doesn't apply to cafes, fast food etc. There's also the issue of restaurants potently having to revert to table service-only in order to remain open.

Now, here's a question. Do the restaurants at the Alton Towers hotels count as a licensed premises during breakfast...?
Someone's got their favourite then!Stayed there for five hours today and did 14 rides, including the Smiler 8 times
Yes, i always enjoy it.Someone's got their favourite then!
Unfortunately it’s out by 10pm here in WalesThe way I understand it from research is everyone needs to be off premises by 10pm (so last orders will need to be before this). This is different to Wales where last order can be at 10pm and people are allowed a "reasonable amount of time" to vacate the premises.
Guess we will find out for sure tomorrow though.
Guests who simply do not wish to wear a mask will now be refused entry to our rides, attractions and buildings.
Guests who repeatedly and wilfully refuse to comply will be asked to leave the attraction.
My guess is that language is merlin HO issued so not something local management came up with, I can't see security at towers being given permission to boot guests as much as they perhaps should. The language in the Towers COVID info has been strengthened to include:

Does this mean those whose masks magically fall under their chin as soon as they've left the station, will be removed from the park? Because honestly, that would have made my visit so much better.
They should be removing those sort people anyway. That's just called taking the p**s completely unnaceptable and disrespectfulThe language in the Towers COVID info has been strengthened to include:

Taking the p**s would be what I've seen at THORPE, someone taking a mask off only when they announced wear them, I would hope even Alton can boot for that. They should be removing those sort people anyway. That's just called taking the p**s completely unnaceptable and disrespectful
I'm hopeful they class mask discarders like they do drunk and disorderly. Thorpe certainly don't hesitate to remove those.Taking the p**s would be what I've seen at THORPE, someone taking a mask off only when they announced wear them, I would hope even Alton can boot for that.
Someone said in another thread that single riders are not allowed on the Rapids at th3 moment due to Covid restrictions. If this is true does anyone know why? Just curious as it's strange.
Yes but surely singles could go in a boat on their own (I've done that myself before)? That's what I meant. If so I would assume it’s because there are no restraints so people can move about and breach social distancing.
My guess is it's to make it easier to enforce the no single only rule on other rides.Yes but surely singles could go in a boat on their own (I've done that myself before)? That's what I meant.
