So we have a bit more clarification on this now. The requirement for table service only applies to licensed premises, so it doesn't apply to cafes, fast food etc. There's also the issue of restaurants potently having to revert to table service-only in order to remain open.
Now, here's a question. Do the restaurants at the Alton Towers hotels count as a licensed premises during breakfast...?

Unless someone was over eager at some point and obtained a 24 hour license, I suspect that their licensed hours will be evenings and possibly lunchtime. So breakfast now probably wouldn't fall under the new requirements.
Good job it's all clear for tomorrow's roll out.
Awful weather today at Alton Towers - with 4 hours of heavy rain.
Turned out it was a good day to go, with queues very low.
Stayed there for five hours today and did 14 rides, including the Smiler 8 times! It's queue never got above 15 minutes, and was often displayed as "0" minutes. Great job today by the ride ops in testing conditions.
Dave was operating The Smiler most of the day, top guy

Someone's got their favourite then!Stayed there for five hours today and did 14 rides, including the Smiler 8 times
Yes, i always enjoy it.Someone's got their favourite then!
And it's often got the longest queue on park, so made the most of today.lol. Got soaked to the skin though.
Also always enjoy the comoradarie and professioanlism of Dave and the team.
Unfortunately it’s out by 10pm here in WalesThe way I understand it from research is everyone needs to be off premises by 10pm (so last orders will need to be before this). This is different to Wales where last order can be at 10pm and people are allowed a "reasonable amount of time" to vacate the premises.
Guess we will find out for sure tomorrow though.

Again, realistically the park is not overall a problem licensed premises. If they estimate the wickerman queue is an hour and close at 9pm, the police won’t care if some guests are leaving at 10.10. But if the estimated queue is 90 minutes then maybe they will close the queue earlier.
I do expect the hotel bar to close at 10pm and offer more table service but otherwise these changes won’t really affect theme parks. Generally everyone will only talk to their group of up to six when at a theme park or hotel, I don’t think there is large issue with drunk people mixing with other groups in the same way there has been at bars, pubs and town centres late night.

The language in the Towers COVID info has been strengthened to include:

Does this mean those whose masks magically fall under their chin as soon as they've left the station, will be removed from the park? Because honestly, that would have made my visit so much better.
Guests who simply do not wish to wear a mask will now be refused entry to our rides, attractions and buildings.
and
Guests who repeatedly and wilfully refuse to comply will be asked to leave the attraction.

My guess is that language is merlin HO issued so not something local management came up with, I can't see security at towers being given permission to boot guests as much as they perhaps should. The language in the Towers COVID info has been strengthened to include:

They should be removing those sort people anyway. That's just called taking the p**s completely unnaceptable and disrespectfulThe language in the Towers COVID info has been strengthened to include:

Taking the p**s would be what I've seen at THORPE, someone taking a mask off only when they announced wear them, I would hope even Alton can boot for that. They should be removing those sort people anyway. That's just called taking the p**s completely unnaceptable and disrespectful

I'm hopeful they class mask discarders like they do drunk and disorderly. Thorpe certainly don't hesitate to remove those.Taking the p**s would be what I've seen at THORPE, someone taking a mask off only when they announced wear them, I would hope even Alton can boot for that.
Some reports that Legoland security have been splitting up groups larger than 6.

Someone said in another thread that single riders are not allowed on the Rapids at the moment due to Covid restrictions. If this is true does anyone know why? Just curious as it's strange.

If so I would assume it’s because there are no restraints so people can move about and breach social distancing.

Yes but surely singles could go in a boat on their own (I've done that myself before)? That's what I meant. If so I would assume it’s because there are no restraints so people can move about and breach social distancing.

My guess is it's to make it easier to enforce the no single only rule on other rides.Yes but surely singles could go in a boat on their own (I've done that myself before)? That's what I meant.

What are the odds of someone actually being removed from the park due to non compliance? Has anyone yet to be ejected form the park for using mobile phones and cameras on the rides? Plus I've seen how they turn a blind eye to smokers smoking outside designated areas and in queue lines as well as those pesky queue jumpers
