You won’t find a finer remix than the Oblivion / Sandstorm remix at last year’s fireworks. A totally mind blowing spectacle!Oblivion would've been a good choice, it's theme tune is already amazing, would love to hear some remixes, just saying.
You are not wrong. I'm tempted, if I get chance to make a remix of the Oblivion theme myself (I'm a music technology student). You won’t find a finer remix than the Oblivion / Sandstorm remix at last year’s fireworks. A totally mind blowing spectacle!
And with many of the rides closed this morning. Noting that 13 is still closed, hoping it will be open this weekend. Maybe if gate price reduced for each ride closed that would be fairer!
Anyone who pays the £65 gate price is a fool. It has to be inflated so that the 241 price is acceptable.
If only that was an April FoolThere have been some price increases on Alton Towers entry tickets today.
The cheapest online ticket (for off peak Tues/Weds) has increased to £36 (from £34).
Off peak Mon/Thurs/Fri now start from £38 (was £36).
Weekends and school holidays now start from £42.
The gate price has also gone up to £65 (from £62) meaning most 241 vouchers will work out at £32.50pp.
Absolutely. But it’s a fine line for them to tread. With the cost of living soaring, you can’t make it so expensive that people can’t afford to come. Going to Alton is a luxury at the end of the day, so putting prices up may actually backfire? Better to sell 1000 tickets at £25 than 500 at £35 after all. We shall see.The VAT rate for hospitality has increased from 12.5% back to the standard 20% today and the minimum wage rate has also risen. These will be feeding in to the price increases.
I think you make an interesting point, and it is one that is relevant to more than just Alton Towers. Theme parks are not a cheap day out, especially for a family. As costs of living rise people are increasingly going to have choices to make of where exactly they want to spend their disposable income, and on the face of it this could impact theme parks.Absolutely.
