It's a premium membership , they're still running but you've not been able to get one for years.

Until this year they've been valid every day except fireworks, now it seems they've been downgraded to have the same exclusion dates as gold passes/memberships. This information is only available if you check the online T&Cs - there's been no direct communication of the change - if it wasn't for pre-booking I might have travelled to Chessington and only found out at the gate that my pass wasn't valid that day.

Ah, I assumed they did that years ago when getting rid of the single annual payment annual passes. Makes no sense to have kept the old structure when the new one was designed to deal with the fact the old passes didn’t have the right block out dates.

Also was literally saying Enterprise would not be coming back even though everyone was insistent on it just because the gondolas had been put back. New for 2023 - empty space
 
Could we be seeing a 4th Retrosquad ride going here?

  • Funk N Fly still in place (who knows what's happening with that!)
  • Roller Disco gone but could return (didn't it leave the park last winter too?)
  • Spinjam still in situ.

So could this be the place for the new one that Mellors were asking for last year - Jumparound?

I think it’s somewhat likely
 
I'm confused, why did it look as though they were refitting the gondolas a few weeks ago? Was that just a last ditch attempt to get it working that eventually failed?
 
Probably, or they've discovered a far bigger problem which has effectively written the thing off.

On a side note, I find it depressing to think that years ago when flat rides got removed, the forums would speculate as to what exciting, innovative new attraction they were planning to replace it with whereas now we just know they'll fill the space with tat or nothing at all.

Really demonstrates how far Merlin and DIC Tussauds have lowered expectations over the years.
 
There was no attempt, they were just moved back there, and sat there for 3 months. As I’m pretty sure I said last November, we’d already been told it had gone, it stood no chance of returning.
