The fences are really flimsy. At least once last week I heard the ops came on the pa to ask people not to lean on them
Pretty sure those cable ties are just to hold the netting in place.Perhaps they should not have used black cable ties to reinforce the top sections as well...
And when they did, it would only have taken a full second longer to clip off the excess tie left dandling a full ten inches every couple of yards.
Lovely unfinished rush job look.
Thoosie pick knitting at its finest.
But we did play with them in the slow queue.
Oh yeah, that's a given. Badly installed to begin with, and people leaning on it every day for a few months finally worked it loose.
When it comes to morning inspections, I doubt the staff are doing any more than a quick glance at the fence as they walk past. I wouldn't expect them to push on every single fence panel every morning, any more than I would expect them to check every single bolt every morning.
Same issue last week on Friday evening, the main queue barely moved during the evening (took 90 minutes to get round from past the shop to under the lift hill).Managed my first night ride on Hyperia last night. That outerbank was already awesome but in the dark is wild. Could have been at any angle and I wouldn't have known
On the ops front... What most of us presumed is oversold fast-tracks (or most sacking theirs for night rides) absolutely ruined the throughput of the main queue. We only moved forward due to people leaving for a good while.
Other than that fantastic night.
Quite. The height record is enough, we don't need to go after worst name record too, Sic can keep that for now.Thank god they didn't go for OMG though.
What was the real reason why they didn't use "Icarus" ?Interesting to see the reason given for why they didn't go for the name Icarus, despite submitting the winged motif to marketing. Not quite telling the truth there!
