[2025] Project Ocean: New Forbidden Valley Flat Ride

That's very true actually. Nothing plastered on the construction walls, no vague hints at anything, not even a whiff of a "Million Apologies" sign to even acknowledge the construction site.

It’s very un-towers like to have not been advertising this yet on site.

Reckon we may see something over scarefest ?

Another victim of budget cuts this season, so poor that they can't afford to plaster up posters to advertise a new attraction! 😜

Any chance of a quick summery, please? Am at work so can't watch a vid right now. Am I to take it Towers are trying to cease and desist anyone filming construction?

Interesting statement Sean makes in his latest video about "people getting letters and all sorts in the post" [presumably] about filming the construction. Anyone heard if this is true?

I believe that Alton Towers may have been sending polite reminders about the privacy rights their construction staff have in their workplace.

Some vloggers also haven't been filming safely, at height, when trying to get shots over the construction fences. Many of them will not have public liability insurance to cover any potential incident. I also expect that many aren't registered with ICO as data controllers either.

Ultimately it's private property, so Alton Towers are fully within their rights to ask people from ceasing, and desisting, unsafe and improper filming practices.

Well, that just sent me down a Youtube rabbit hole. Never heard of him before.
Hehe.
He used to specialise in baiting security guards on camera, while filming from public land. These days it's more social commentary and vlogging the various crackheads of Manchester.

But anyway, back on topic... who still thinks this ride will be built and open this season, then? ;)

Don’t think anyone has thought that for ages. That was just because of the planning docs suggesting construction would have completed by early August.

No offence to Sean but this is very much a citation needed situation. I remember he also said there would be a ride in R-Cade, so I would take it with a grain of salt.
