[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin

I can’t quite place my figure on the exact reason, but the animations and recently released marketing email feels pretty cheap and underwhelming. It all feels a bit generic.
It's not just you. The line "are you ready to face the ultimate thrill?" is Barry Island leaflet tier copy.
What would probably be sensible would be to theme a top spin really well without necessarily soaking the people riding it who will be mostly looking for a thrill, rather than a water ride, and then replace the flume which was removed almost 10 years ago with a modern water ride which might soak people who went on the ride presuambly looking for that kind of thing?
Been saying it for years but they need a proper water ride at the park, the climate excuses are complete rubbish as they seemed to not have an issue for the previous decades that the flume operated, plus these days the water level can be alterred so it doesn't soak you in colder times of year.
This won't have water in any meaninful way for the same reason the rapids are switched off whenever they get half a chance to do so - it's expensive.

For the past few years, they've always chosen ‘opening spring’ as it gives leeway should there be any unexpected delays. Alton Towers has learnt the hard way in previous years, when they've been unable to open rides on announced dates.
I'm not a huge fan of the name, it sound too X-Sector. I'm sure it will be good either way. Despite how good this will be, it’s not making me excited for the 2025 season, given the removal of Blade and no doubt other cuts we’ll see throughout the year.

I am also picturing that line in two ways, it can go like the Smiler, in a sort of sinister personal way, "are YOU ready? to face the ultimate thrill?".It's not just you. The line "are you ready to face the ultimate thrill?" is Barry Island leaflet tier copy.
Or it could be in the style of Peter Dickson doing the X Factor intro "are you ready!... to FACE!!..... the ultimate thrill!!!"

Toxic stuff has always been in FV theme (OG ripsaw case in point) and never been in X-Sectors theme.
I don’t mind the graphics but the name is a little naff.

Hold your horses, we’ve not seen any posters in the queue line theming yet…I'm just relieved it's not obviously AI
To be fair any queue line theming would be an improvement over what was there previously as Ripsaw had none,.Hold your horses, we’ve not seen any posters in the queue line theming yet…

Not necessarily, I'm surprised they've announced it before it's officially registered. The application status hasn't changed since the "notice of threatened opposition" was filled in November.Glad they managed to get the name sorted. I actually really like Toxicator. Definitely more interesting than Ripsaw’s Revenge!

A few things to note from the press release, it’s been confirmed it will have green lit fountains, it will allow more then 500 riders per hour, it will have a height restriction of 1.4m and it will be the worlds tallest topspin at 78ft tall (on top of its concrete platform).

It teases the story as well...A few things to note from the press release, it’s been confirmed it will have green lit fountains, it will allow more then 500 riders per hour, it will have a height restriction of 1.4m and it will be the worlds tallest topspin at 78ft tall (on top of its concrete platform).
It is the latest technology from the shadowy organisation known as The Phalanx and is used by them to extract and separate toxic saliva from the Nemesis creature.

I wouldn't be surprised if this fact ends up being the main marketing gimmick of this ride. Towers still love putting in a 'world's...' tagline in their marketing.it will be the worlds tallest topspin at 78ft tall (on top of its concrete platform).

Still hate the name and lazy theming story, it’s very teenager playing rct2 Not, alleged, world class resort. I thought we were past the days of ultimate everything and worlds firsts since the wicker man “worlds first woodie and fire” debacle, yet here we are.
