I believe it is the Cinéscénie that operates with volunteers (in their 1000s) but the main park has seasonal/full time staff.Doesn't the French version work using massive numbers of volunteers though?
All from the one local area.

While exciting to see this project go to the next stage, it is a real shame for the team at Kynren/11 Arches, who are also trying to develop a similar park right now (alongside producing the Kynren show each summer). Can the UK support two of these style parks?
Kynren / 11 Arches is put on by Puy du Fou though. It’s also at the other end of the country.
They won’t be worried about competing with themselves.

I have no idea what Kynren/ 11. Arches is
It’s a massive show run by Puy du Fou

That's looks really cool I'm just surprised I've never heard of it.

I wouldn't think that Puy du Fou in Oxfordshire would affect Kynren. Kynren is 230 miles and nearly 4 hours away in County Durham, so the two will have very different catchment areas.
Kynren will primarily be attracting visitors in the North, while Puy du Fou in Bicester will primarily attract visitors from the South and more southern parts of the Midlands, as well as some potential foreign tourist custom.

Bicester Village is INCREDIBLY popular with Chinese tourists. Might not bring in loads but deffo beneficial to the location
Although Puy Du Fou developed the show, it is not actually run by them. 11 Arches hired Puy Du Fou to produce the show but beyond the first year, Puy Du Fou have no involvement and it is a subsidiary of the Auckland Project that is funded by Jonathan Ruffer. I know that at the time, there was an exclusivity clause in the contract for producing Kynren but presume that this must be towards expiring if they are building their own.Kynren / 11 Arches is put on by Puy du Fou though. For me this isn't something that I'm struggling to contain my excitement for but it's absolutely something I'd check out on it's opening year and return if I like it.
With the Theme Manchester resort, this and Universal Great Britain it's a exciting time for the UK leisure industry.

Here’s the site plan:

Aim is to complete the planning process this year, start construction next year and have it open in 2029.
They also think 50% of visitors will be coming by public transport (bit ambitious I think) and that the project will create 700 permanent jobs.
Will be interesting down the line to see what they decide to call it - as you can guarantee it won’t be Puy du Fou mainly because only about three people in Britain can pronounce it.

Do these parks usually have more than one hotel? Plenty of room for future expansion either way, I'm definitely interested it's something we don't have in the UK.
In France, there are 6 hotels at Puy du Fou.
