I love This . I would hate if pleasure beach resort went down the themed area route . It just wouldn’t work .

See also the promo social video - clearly all AI - and confusingly they’ve gone for this all-American theme but the concept art still shows the really ugly Union Jack signage at the top of the tower.Almost as if they didn't really want to theme it and just went with some stock generic look for it rather than deciding to do anything creative.
Amanda, you’ve done it again.

Fixed that for you.The dream of riding a refurbished S&S shot tower at Pleasure Beach Resort Lancashire Blackpool is shared by people of all nations.
ah yes, shortly before writing the Allegory of the (river) Cave(s)I believe it was Plato who first extolled the virtues or a refurbished S&S Space Shot
...or Playstation, as he knew it.

So from the promo images looks like the original style seating rather than the rotating seats, which is a shame. Would have certainly fit the theme as astronauts launch upwards while on their backs facing upwards. Or are they going to have one side of it as the rotating seats as an upcharge?
Seems like a missed opportunity to not convert it to that seat style. Will still be fun to get it back to full power, look at that airtime it had when it first opened.

Oh no, you've spoken it into existence now.

She must have contacts on The Other Side then...I understand Amanda has requested Neil Armstrong be there to open the new ride in 2025, just waiting on a response. Exciting times!
It sounds like this project’s going to be more exciting than we initially thought. They’re going down the Butter Beer route, and having a shop next to the ride selling authentic space food. Apparently Amanda Thompson has already ordered £10,000 worth of space cookies from a shop in Amsterdam.

TBH given how the attraction now is painted blue, you might have gone and put up a Scottish Saltire flag on top instead of a Union Jack and theme it to the spaceport thing up in Shetland given that we now have a space theme. Seriously, the damn theme writes itself then and appeals to the Scottish hordes in Blackpool and if Mandy had any sense then she would have done that.See also the promo social video - clearly all AI - and confusingly they’ve gone for this all-American theme but the concept art still shows the really ugly Union Jack signage at the top of the tower.

That might have made sense to the 100 people who knew there was a spaceport in Scotland, but I think it'd have most visitors scratching their heads.TBH given how the attraction now is painted blue, you might have gone and put up a Scottish Saltire flag on top instead of a Union Jack and theme it to the spaceport thing up in Shetland given that we now have a space theme. Oh but you sound like a right sassenach there Fuct...
The Scottish hordes know the spaceport is in the Shetlands...and they do swarm around the Beach at certain times.
Shipped off to Australia, run a couple of times and be scrapped?Given our country's track record with space flight (going right back to the Black Arrow), I'd wait until they actually manage to successfully launch something before getting too excited.![]()
To be fair, it made a lot of sense to send things into space from down under - you just need to let go
