Cedar Point: General Discussion

Whaaatttt... Magic Mountain opened their Justice League dark ride less than a year ago and it's excellent!
True, but until now they had always said they wouldn't build Dark rides because with Disneyland down the road they couldn't compete. The recent change only came about because the ride has been really successful at other Six Flags parks so it was relatively cheap to copy the concept. I doubt that if Magic Mountain was a stand alone park they would have changed their view.

Let's not forget that for over a decade Alton Towers refused to build a wooden coaster. They might have changed their mind but we still have to acknowledge that for years they've been telling us the GP won't like them because they look unsafe.

Meanwhile after a little bit of a break, work on the new track has resumed:

RMC with a MCBR!

:)

RMC with a MCBR!
The best thing about the RMC rides is how they never let up, not quite like Nemesis, but not far off.

The mid course on Texas Giant isn't too disastrous so fingers crossed this isn't either but Cedar Point have a history of applying trims at will.

Good to see they're anticipating pushing throughput on this thing, unlike Valraven where they dropped the ball somewhat capacity-wise by installing the lowest capacity dive coaster in the US.

A look at how trackwork is progressing, including work on the steeper lift hill:

Looking forward to seeing them complete the lift so we have an idea of just how tall this new beast is going to be. However I have a feeling that will be the very last thing they do!

:)

A new photo of the lift as well as wanted posters that are appearing around the park, from CoasterForce:

Oh my!

EDIT

And the Cedar Point general manager has just posed this:

Looks amazing! Plus for those that own Planet Coaster, they have joined forces with Cedar Point and released an update today featuring Steal Vengeance Trains, a pre-designed copy of the layout, plus the themed ride entrance and ride logos which can also be added to your park.
