Cedar Point: General Discussion

Well, at least Cedar Point have officially acknowledged the presence of RMC track on Mean Streak. They're coming though!? Interesting, surely not a hint towards a dueling coaster? Althugh it could explain this photo and caption:

"It's interesting how their is wood higher than the track on this turn."

Also interesting that they chose April 1st to make they're first 'annoucement'.

:)

Anyway, here is a new Mean Streak photo from a different angle:

I reckon the next element will be some kind of inversion!

:)

Not convinced it will duel at this stage, but who knows.... it would give Gemini a run for its money!

I wondered if 'their' related to themed trains, characters etc?

Hopefully if it is an inversion it will be a zero G stall like on Wildfire! It would make sense as the first inversion. :)

Double post, but this picture from CP Rundown shows just how absurd that outward bank is:

I really can't imagine how that will be to ride!

@Sammy pointed out to me that the track in that inversion is the right way up at the crest. So it looks like it will invert on the way up, give some airtime, and then invert again on the way down. That is going to be something else!

:)

These photos which were shared on Facebook are slightly out of date (track for the inversion not in place) but I think they are worth posting here:

The first photo in particular is quite something!

:)

The proporting of those hills are plain daft. It looks like a 16:9 picture squished to 4:3!

This really is crazy, the hills are just such an odd shape and that inversion is MAD! I can't wait to see it progress!

One thing I do have to say, if you look at the angle coming from the new bents added to the lift, the increase in height is going to be really rather substantial! The old height was 161ft... We are certainly looking at pushing 200ft here, thus making it RMC's tallest creation yet, though sadly not the worlds tallest woodie ;)

It's been far too long since we had some new photos posted so here we go:

Stunning photographs. Apparently ledgers for the first half of the layout are now all complete and it looks like the next element to go in will be some sort of downwards stall under the lift.

:)

I wonder if it's even a coaster? They could be getting a modern log flume like Chiapas, it would definitely fill a gap in their lineup since they lost Shoot the Rapids. Or maybe they are just trolling. ;)
