Cedar Point - Goodbye Disaster Transport, Hello Gatekeeper

And now is the point where I begin regretting our decision to ditch our 2013 trip to Cedar Point, for California. That looks absolutely brilliant, great to see another 'The Swarm style' drop.
I find this a shame as the swarm was supposed to be unique, :(. But if the trains are how they look in the leaked photos, It should be a pretty good coaster.

Perhaps Charlie & the Chocolate Factory should go out with a similar bang? :p

Not similar to that one. More like... ;)

I found another video of Space Spiral getting taken down from a really good view. :)

Source.

:)

I think the track is still with B&M. Don't know when it'll get shipped to the US.

Makes me wonder where our SW7 track is! :p

It reminds me of Patriot's white stripe:

I think it looks quite nice.

Track for the US (and Asian, I believe) B&Ms is made at their plant in Ohio, US. The same state that Cedar Point is in! Nice and handy :)

Close. The rails and trains are made at B&Ms plant in Switzerland using their highly secretive track bending process and the spines are added to the sections at the various plants across the world.

Are you sure? I would have thought they'd all be made at the same location?

B&M box track with the box cut off. :p

Strange, suppose it saves unnecessary steel being wasted.

They really are throwing this thing up now. The time lapse demonstrates just how quickly it's actually done. Those track pieces don't seem to hang around for long before they are bolted down, awaiting their adjoining track section.

I do love the colour scheme on this, it's going to be so striking when the inversions are in place & the shade contrast becomes apparant. You can see it on the below picture, the inversions in the background stand out so well, compared to the normal track. I can't wait to see pictures from different angles after construction, the colour scheme is going to change depending on which angle you shoot the picture from.
