Because without a fairly known end game there's no hope and that doesn't exactly look pretty.Why are people so certain a vaccine will stop this? We have a flu shot readily available to the public and its not even close to 100% effective as it usually combats the previous flu season's strain. My father had a flu shot about 3 years ago and that winter he had a terrible chesty cough and flu symptoms that lasted months.
And we know covid changes and morphs into new strains. The vaccine could be problematic for the same reason. Basically not up to date with the latest strain of the virus.
