Anyone who doesn't think this is the sexiest thing they've seen since John Wardley's guns will be exiled back to TowersTimes. kthx.

Re: Etna Land: MACK megacoaster and S&S mine train

Do S&S only have black and orange paint laying around or something?

The MACK's starting to look better than I first thought, but it's becoming so Intamin Mega-Lite. From the first curve to the air-time hills that bend one way before going the other, the only unique features between them is that it's MACK and the heartline roll- which looks amazing.

Just a thought, does the 230 by the MACK in the concept art mean that a model could be put in place- meaning the MACK's will become more common- or a few clones will be put in place?

The S&S looks very curvy, but there's not much to judge at the moment beyond the twister layout. Please tell me there going to use the theming shown in the plans, otherwise the coaster would be a huge disappointment- and would look not even half as good as if it had it. Still though, the colour of track doesn't look like it suits a mine-train at all.

Re: Etna Land: MACK megacoaster and S&S mine train

There is something truly SUMPTUOUS about the colour of these Mack coasters.

All MACK megacoasters are blue (shall we call that shade 'Roland Blue' from now on?) with grey supports and all S&S coasters seem to be brown with orange supports!

With S&S it does seem to be a question of whether you want it painted orange and black or black and orange, with Steel Hawg and Timber Drop the reverse of Mumbo Jumbo and Etna Land's mine train.

Though that would seem to be a broader colour palette than MACK are currently offering on their megacoasters. On the other hand, as the colour scheme used on Blue Fire is so stunning, why change it?

Haunted School Dark Ride:

http://www.gosetto.com/#/NEWS

Schools out for summer? Not at Etnaland. The Italian theme park on the isle of Sicily is to open a new dark ride themed around a haunted school.
The interactive attraction, supplied by Gosetto, will feature eight classroom scenes, each dedicated to a different academic subject. Riders must answer exam questions to accumulate points during the ride. But before they start riders will have the chance to quell any pre-exam “nerves” by visiting the bathroom!
Gosetto will not only provide the ride system but also the theming throughout the attraction. Twelve 4-seater rotating ride vehicles will be used, themed as school desks. Construction is due to be made on site soon following test runs at the Gosetto factory in the north of Italy
The theme will be a school populated with 8 scenes

That looks pretty epic!
I've always thought a school would work well for a dark ride!

Hopefully, it will be executed well, and who knows! It could be one of the best dark rides in the world as it's so unique!

I need to get to some of these foreign parks. They look amazing!

That actually sounds like a good idea, if they can execute it properly then I can see that being a really good dark ride experience. Which is something that is lacking in Europe.

Sounds er.... "different". Wonder if there will be different languages available? Can't see it being much fun if you don't speak Italian.

Huntik called, it wanted to let you know it exists...

More new rides:

2013 - The Storm and New Coaster - Rumor - (7/2/12) The LA Times has a report listing several attractions expected to be part of the new Etnaland expansion by 2013. The list includes the coasters (Mack and S&S) we’ve been following the construction of already, a dark ride, a Mack Twist ‘N Splash, an S&S tower ride, half a dozen or more Zamperla flat rides and more. They allude to the fact that Etnaland’s new amusement park section may actually require a separate admission fee when it opens.

Hello everyone!

I have made a recreation of The Storm to give everyone an idea of the final outcome for the ride.

Enjoy
