It's nearing that time of the year again. Since we're just under a month away from the 2014 fireworks display there has not been much news on the event. Although there's some interesting info from The Burton Mail, published today:

Glad that the story theme will continue this year (pretty much guaranteed after the popularity of the event last year). A water projection screen sounds amazing, feels like I'm back in the 90s at Towers! I really hope more pyrotechnics haven't been sacrificed for water projections though.

ALTON Towers has promised to take guests through a fantasy dream and nightmare land during its annual fireworks display later this year.
The Alton Towers Resort's Fireworks Spectacular, which runs from November 7 to 9, is set to be even bigger than before with a new water projection screen, bringing a whole new element to the festivities.
Taking guests 'through a story of the battle between dreams and nightmares' through the thrills and fear of Alton Towers Resort's most famous and iconic rides, the fireworks spectacular will feature music, lasers and flames that will light up the night sky.
Along with the world-class fireworks display, guests will also have the opportunity to ride the attractions in the dark, adding a whole different dimension to the experience of attractions like the Smiler, Nemesis and Oblivion.
