Is the money from selling the TV show and other commercial deals, merch etc not bank-rolling the club pretty much? I genuinely don't know.
Up to a point but in reality no. They have record revenues (for reference that £10.5m revenue is about double Shrewsbury’s) but still incurred huge losses. Would love to know what the around £10m of expenditure they incurred that wasn’t wages was too!

Further to that all the money that Reynolds and McElhenney have invested is in the form of a loan, with interest payable. No doubt exciting times for the club in comparison to the drudgery of finishing between 16th and 20th in league one every season, but it will be interesting to see just how far they can go.

Indeed, being a lifelong Shrewsbury fan I’ve been following the Wrexham ‘fairytale’ very closely. Ultimately it’s a master stroke from the owners in how to commercialise, but the fact remains they’re still losing money by the million and the more they progress the more they’re going to need to find in order to compete.

I don't think any club in English leagues aren't in some form of debt.

In the same way it is in real life, debt is fine if it’s serviceable and sustainable.

I think Wrexham will be fine. The owners can just convert the loan to equity at any point.

Good luck mate, nothing would be better than stuffing the Germans three nil as the warm up match...

Someone stop the damn match. We have been hit by injuries and we knew this would be tough but this is awful. Don't know if it's that Scotland are awful or this German team have found their form at last.

Worst Scotland result at a tournament since getting beat by Uruguay 7-0 in 1954.

None of these bastards should be allowed back into the country after that disgrace.

They should have just put everyone behind the ball from the start and tried to keep it nil nil for as long as poss. The tactics were awful. Gotta pick your battles in this game.

Pretty much. Tried to keep it compact in the centre midfield but the Germans just kept ignoring that and went out to the wings instead.

Was always going to be a difficult prospect but they did play into the German hands.

That Scotland performance was shocking. Germany aren’t that good.

Musiala though - he seems a proper player. One that slipped through the net I feel.

The Scots should still have a good shot at the knockouts - I’d fancy you to beat one of the Swiss or Hungary. A draw in today’s game would be useful.

The Tartan Army are owed an apology, when you have apparently 5% of the Scottish population in Munich last night, all that support for nothing.

Yes, we knew a defeat to Germany was likely but at the very least put some effort in which we we didn't and I'm not sure if it was tactics, the players, the pressure or all three but this was a case of everything that could go wrong went horribly wrong. Ofc remember, we have been rocked by a list of injuries from Lyndon Dykes and Nathan Patterson just to name a few. Could they have done anything? I doubt it given how everyone in that team just looked scared.

Yes, as impressive as this looks for Germany, it might give them false hope in which I could see them struggle against a top team as even if they reach the knockout stage, can't see them going all the way.

Can Scotland get anything from Switzerland and Hungary? I honestly don't know, getting 4 points might not even be enough given the negative goal difference unless either Switzerland or Hungary suffer a similar bad defeat means that getting a third place spot is not enough so they have to win both games and honestly, I'd go home if I was a Scot out there.
