Football Discussion

San Marino have recorded perhaps their greatest ever victory in football.

In other news Scotland somehow avoid automatic relegation, for now, and instead send down Poland for the drop.

Last ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park tomorrow.

It's a great ground to visit and can generate a fantastic atmosphere but it's very much outdated in every way possible.
Only ever been 4 times and barring a FA Cup game there it would seem like I won't be going again, need to get the stadium tour done in 2025.

First visit was to see Brazil vs Japan, then a league cup 2nd round game when it was like £5 in (against a Bristol side), a Merseyside Derby FA Cup tie (damn you Dan Gosling), and Everton vs Man City in 2022.

The new ground is looking great, been fantastic seeing it rise up the past few years either via YouTube videos or seeing it from the train on the way to Anfield. Hopefully with the stadium and the takeover Everton can become a competitive side once again instead of seeming to circle the drain season after season.

Given the state of the stadium the other day should definitely be concerned over the drain.

Though Wolves should just be automatically relegated for losing 4-0 this week.

They could loose the atmosphere that is generated woodison. It's an awful place when the blue noses are on it. Pity the Kick off is at half twelve and not tonight. Never a good atmosphere at that time. The new ground does look good, I think the Boo's will echo around it well!!

When you go into the new main or Annie road stands, you realise just how much we look down on them on them. No wonder they are so bitter about us.

Be good for the city. (Away from loosing it's world heritage status.) To have a stadium near the centre will be an advantage. Woodison and Anfield major drawback is the poor access from town.

The drainage system that'll stop that happening once the stadium is complete isn't ready yet. That's why that happened the other day.
Been postponed anyway.
Yep, sort of glad with all the injuries.

Plus a game like this deserves to be played under the lights, was disgusted when TNT picked it for the 12 30pm graveyard slot.

Think the nonsense they've done with a number of the FA Cup fixtures for TV is far worse.
Everton vs Peterborough on a Thursday night is astonishingly bad.

Made Liverpool vs Accrington Stanley at 12.15pm on a Saturday look sensible.

Wednesday have got Coventry away at 6pm on a Saturday as it's been selected for overseas coverage 🤷‍♂️

Raith have been dreadful today, granted it was against the league leaders but damn, we're in a crappy position and need wins to save us from a relegation dogfight.
